Ok, first of all i'm NOT saying this game is gonna suck. i actually think this is gonna be better than Guitar Hero 3 and one of the best games of the year
but what is up with letting the PS3 bundle have a wireless guitar but then having the Xbox360 have to have a wired guitar
now i do know it makes it more realistic because a guitar is always hooked up to an amp so it does give it a more real feel, but i'm just saying, are these people's primary console for this game the PS3?

No, they did it to keep the 360 bundle cost the same as PS3's bundle. Wireless for 360 is more expensive.
They really need to have a wireless bundle for 360 though. For most of the people getting the big bundle, price isn't an issue.

Yea, honestly I'd pay an extra 20 bucks just to get the bundle with a wireless controller. I'm already paying 200 so an extra 20 for the wireless isnt gonna kill me.

Definately not the first time this has been discussed. How is it more realistic? Have you never played real guitar with a wireless? Still connected to the amp, but wireless!!

WELL THAT'S GREAT FOR MR. I HAVE A JOB!!!
But the truth is not everyone has the luxury of telling his parents "It's only $20 more" or a job even for that matter.
With nine feet of cored WHO THE HELL IS COMPLAINING!?! Nobody I hope.

9 feet of cord isn't necessarily better, it's actually more in the way if you think about it, especially with a group of people crowding in a room to play together.

Why does everyone say this?
I have a 9 ft. extension and have no problems with 2 people on GHII at a party. Not unless some ******* is dancing in front of the screen. Let's stop finding reasons to *****. That scenario is not very likely. Not unless you're a clutz.

Keep in mind that the traditional video game player lacks coordination, and thus they will have extreme difficulties avoiding a wire on a flat surface.

You have to be a clutz to trip on 9 feet of cord stretching through the middle of a room? Theres a reason xbox had the detachable cords and that the movement is from wired to wireless. Simply less clutter, lots easier. And if you're having an adult party, you may have drunks walking around and asking a drunk to be coordinated and careful is about as pointless as you can get. The point is that tvs are typically in the center of the entertainment room, so if you have people over there, people are constantly walking past/over the cords, it's annoying. And to whoever said gamers aren't coordinated, I'd think they'd be more coordinated as games build hand/eye coordination, then again, I don't trip or fall ever, so I may just be a hybrid of some sort. Anyways, none of this is of concern to me, I just see the obvious problem, I personally will be getting the PS3 bundle.

Well I don't see it and have never had this problem with my drughead buddies but maybe I'm special.

You kidding me? I thought these threads were finally over. No!
Don't like it, buy a wireless one.

hell if you guys have so much money to throw around for the wireless, the get the bundle, and buy the wireless. That way, you have your bass (wired) and your lead (wireless). Everyone wins! Thanks

Like most people here I am assuming, I have been in a band before, and at practice you'll find the guitar cords to be out of the way (as everyone has their little area to stand/sit). The two main things that are in the way when jamming in a real band are PA speakers, and the drummer. ;)
EDIT: In all honesty though, the only cords that are a pain in the ass are cords leading to and from the PA speakers, the sound board, and mainly anything else relating to live play/recording gear.
Having just your band play (just instruments) you don't have to worry about cords at all.
The GH guitar has never been a problem for me regarding the cord getting tripped over, tangled, etc....

In a band, everyone doesn't have to connect to a single 6 inch wide, 1 foot tall panel, including the drummer lol, not only that but they don't have to all sit in front of a TV. When playing GH2, I try to get the wires as out of the way as possible, but with the design of most gaming rooms having the tv in the center of the room slightly in front of a wall, and the couch/chairs being lined up with that, the wires are going to cut throught he middle of the room and thats just all the more likely someone will mess up and trip. But the issue is clearly not important, you can buy a wireless one and if you've played any games before this year, you've had to deal with wired peripherals so just figure out a way to deal with it again. I was just making the point that it's obvious that wired < wireless in this situation.
