What's happenin rockers. This thread is concerned with coming up with different sets/venues to rock at, think of the venues you would love to see your favorite rock band songs (or possible rock band songs) performed at. Feel free to give explanations, or list the bands that perform at the venue.

Ex.-
Venue - Lazer Light Show at the Planetarium

Ideal Band/Song - Spirit of Radio - Rush

Other Songs/Bands - The Who, Pink Floyd, Tool?

This way, you could have the crazy lazer lights on the ceiling dome surrounding the band who would play in the middle. You could have the images customized per song/band etc. This would be a little over the top, but other explanations could be as simple as...

Play at that scary bar that the Blues Brothers would perform at, with the chain-link fence infront of the stage to protect the band from the drunk crowd.

Just have fun and go nuts.

I like the idea of a outdoors venue, no stage either. Just out in the yard or in the street or in the woods or something.

Maybe a "for the troops" venue, like how bands will go over seas to visit/perform for the troops.

Maybe like a recording studio. It's not a venue but it would be kinda cool I guess.

In my opinion the whole venue thing really isnt a big deal. I mean its cool, but I would prefer RB to make the other music charts brighter (for recording) before they make new venues

Dude, those are some cool ideas... the outdoor venue could just be a handful of guys from the neighborhood chillin, the recording studio could have all the guys with the headsets and mic'd up, while the troops' show is just automatic!

I was just thinking, the show for the troops... you could also have one on an aircraft carrier (no Cher, thank you). My older brother also suggested having the Deftones performing "Minerva" with an Atom bomb exploding in the background halfway through the song (think Nevada desert outside Las Vegas).

I was thinking about the aircraft carrier, and then I realized none of my ideas were "venues" per se, so I thought "man **** this ****."

It's is cool though.

I really like the idea of the bomb going off in the back ground. Like how in some songs there's lights and effects and ****.

You're playing a song... Then all of a sudden... BOOM a huge explosion in the background. Everyone's like "oh **** an atomic bomb just blew up, holy ****!!" and you're also rocking out at the same time... While it's all going down.. Damn. Thats like... 100% rock...

What do you mean that none of your ideas are venues? Do you mean that they're not someplace where you would ordinarily see a show? I just think this is something to have fun with and that, well, it is a video game and most anything is possible. I mean imagine playing "One" by Metallica and there is actually a war going on around you... I guess it does seem more like a music video than a concert, that might be your point. It would solve the gunfire and helicopter noises in the intro.
