Good movie, not great. If you have the extra cash to go see a movie, might as well check it out. Definatly worth the ticket price. Some of you may disagree though, especially if you didn't like the others.

Much better than Apocalypse. However, one major flaw I found if youve seen Apocalypse...Where was Jill, and Angie??? Why was there not even a mention to the whereabouts of Jill and Angie???

Kotaku said it was terrible.

Funny. My instincts said the same thing..

I'm not getting roped into another Resi movie, Paulie. Not after the cinematic dirge that was Apocalypse.

Why are we still calling it Resident Evil?

I liked this one. The first was definitely the best, though.

Paul is a horrible writer. He needs to quit doing what he does and go work at McDonalds or something. He ruined Mortal Kombat which they are having to remake, and he ruins the Resident Evil seires (although the first and Extinction were decent). Thank God hes not directing Iron Man, or I would have to go cause some pain.

He and Uwe Boll should team up to make "E.T. The Game - The Movie" and get it over with. It'd be like a cinematic train wreck, only the trains in question are made of excrement.

Yeah Uwe Boll is just as pathetic. That man stole some artwork from DeviantART.com and used it for some kind of promotion thing for something he did.

Yeah I saw Extinction on Friday. It was poor. What kills me is that the RE series is so close to being acceptable as a movie, but there's just nothing to them.

And why the ef does she have "psionic" powers? I think Paul W.S. Anderson is mixing Galerians into this.

What pisses in my corn flakes is the fact that Hollywood doesnt wanna stay true to the video game altogether.

Mortal Kombat was awesome and one of the best VG movies ever. (Which, to be honest, isn't saying much considering most VG movies suck). Besides, Anderson had nothing to do with the terrible sequel, which killed the franchise. The first RE movie might have been "Aliens" with zombies but it was still a fun movie. Too bad the sequels have nothing to do with the games other than sharing the name and few creatures.

But he did almost kill the "Alien" franchise and the "Predator" franchise at the same time with his gem, AVP. As an avid fan of the "Alien" franchise in particular this killed me. I have no respect for him whatsoever. How can you make a movie with Aliens and Predators a PG-13?? At least he was kept as far away as possible from AVP 2 : Requiem.

No he didnt have anything to do with MK: Annihilation, but if you look at it, MK was all about heads being ripped off and blood, guts, and gore. If you are going to model a very violent video game into a movie, make the movie just as violent and bloody. I do like to see gross decapitation scenes because thats just the pain-body in me. Sub Zero hardly had a fight, it was just oops water bucket into giant ice spike...the end. Im like the biggest MK fan ever, and yeah, when I was a small kid MK was great. However, when I look back at it...that movie was awful. However, between the two the first was much better. My main point is that Hollywood needs to get it RIGHT.

Definitely agree with you there. I know it looked like I was defending Anderson as a whole earlier but I only meant it for the 2 movies I mentioned. AvP was complete garbage.

Ah, OK. I see where you're coming from. Regardless of the lack of gore, I think MK was a good VG movie. Mainly because it kept true to the story of the game. That's something that the comics, the cartoons, and the live-action TV shows were never able to do. Plus, if the movie had been as R-rated and explicit as the game, a lot less people would've been able to see it. Think about it....anyone can go into an arcade and play a game. However, in order to see an R-Rated movie, you'd have to be 17 yrs old or accompanied by someone that was. Thats not as accessible as it sounds. Thus, thats why I think they went with a PG-13 movie that kept the storyline of the game but left the gore out.

Yeah it followed the story line of the first game. Which is why they needed to leave Kitana out of it. I think Raiden should have fought in at least one scene. And I would have liked to see Scorpion and Subby duke it out since they were mortal enemies throughout the early MK games. However the acting was good, which I give props for. The second movie lacked in all catagories. I also wish the costumes were just a little more dead on (i.e. Scorpion and Sub Zero never had long sleeves in the game and their masks were colored, not grey).
