For those of you who might not have noticed, there is a surprising lack of music from the '60's in this game. As an era that defined rock, I feel that it needs to have more representation.
I feel that the answer is Jefferson Airplane. They were the ultimate California band in the '60's, and they helped define the sound of the '60's & "psychedelic" rock. They also defined the "California" rock sound for years to come.
Considering that on the packaging for Rock Band it says that you can rock out to songs from "the greatest acts", it seems only fair that this band gets added to the game.
They also had four great albums, which would be good for the game. The albums are:
Jefferson Airplane Takes Off
Surrealistic Pillow (which includes the hits "Somebody To Love" and "White Rabbit")
After Bathing At Baxter's
Crown Of Creation (considered by many to be the best "psychedelic" album)
The band also had two vocalists: Marty Balin and Grace Slick. For people that want more female vocal tracks in the game, Grace Slick was (and still is) the model for the "rock n' roll chick". The only album she wasn't in the band for was the debut (but there was another feamle singer in the band).
Does anybody else want this classic band to be added to the game?

I wouldn't mind seeing their music in RB due to their influence they've had on music...but I personally don't get their sound...almost a little too weird for me.

Most have described it as a cross between folk and psychedelic rock. It is hard to "get" but once you do "get it", you get hooked (like with The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Doors, etc.) :)

Who wants "White Rabbit" in Rock Band?
That song could be an easy drum song, but would still be fun.
And who wouldn't want to sing it? Vocalists would find a challenge matching Grace Slick's sustain on the end lyric "Feed your head". :)
