I think I've bought the last of the DLC. Lately (IMO) the DLC is mostly from unknown bands or not even 'Rock' material at all. Bring on the AC/DC, G-N-R, Older Motley Crue, Dep Leapord, Van Halen (Hot for Teacher), even Driving and Crying would be good, you know the bands that have stood the test of time. So for I have supported HMX and have bought everything they throw out but come on guys. One more thing is the Nirvana album even going to be released?

Oh please... you aren't the only person in this world who likes music and you aren't the only person in the world who knows what is good. Please get over yourself and let us enjoy our dlc.

Judas Priest is "unknown"? I mean, I didn't listen to their music before the album came out on RB but I certainly knew who they were.

PS good luck getting AC/DC, you can't even get their music on iTunes.

How about only buying DLC from bands you like? I wouldn't consider Smashing Pumpkins, Judas Priest, Skynyrd, The Police, and Boston "unknown" or "not rock".

I'm a DLC whore so I'll buy it all.

I hate Fallout Boy, but if its charted well I won't care.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are great, and I'm look forward to this track.

The last one is new to me, which is one of the great things about DLC, its another avenue to being introduced to new music.

But whatever, I imagine you're a 17-25 year old male, who believes their taste is music in well refined, and you couldn't be farther from the truth.

Its ok though, your musical horizon will likely broaden as you age. It happens for most people.

I hear you brother. I have a very limited and narrow vision of what rock is as well.

My sincerest condolences, since, obviously, HMX must listen to you and you alone, when it comes to releasing DLC.

Ugh, I'm so sick of this crap. Of course, I should have expected it, considering that it is the OFFICIAL forum and all, but...man, I'm just tired of these whining crybabies.

Ah well, sucks to be you that you'll miss out on The Cars. :)

All I see is "Wah-Wah-Wah, I'm not getting what I want, wah-wah-wah".

Seriously dude, open your mind to new music. While this week isn't to my liking you don't see me *****ing about it, do you?

dont flame this guy, he has every right to be a little irritated. He can't blame harmonix, because, well, its quite spectacular that they even do weekly DLC. But the fact is, this is Rock Band, and even the people who love the DLC have to admit, outside of the Judas Priest pack recently released, true rock gods have been few and far between in the DLC.

he's not saying once in that post that his idea of music is the only good one, flaming him doesnt make you any better, he's just stating that the true blue classic rock and roll stars are missing from games that seemed to be once all about them.

they should of just called the game indie band, or music band, cuz lately there hasnt been much rock (even tho, for the record, i have enjoyed most of the DLC, i like indie music and such.)

I read this quote and thought to myself, "Hey, that offends me, as I fall into this age group."

That's when I realized I don't fall into that age group anymore.

Nooo! I'm old!

Also, Boston rules.

I'll agree partially here, GH managed to get Def Leppard, why cant HMX bust out Skid Row or some more BOC? I'll say, Fall Out Boy isn't my idea of perfect DLC, but I certainly grinned while imagining how fun it'll be to play. Another song that most people online will have. I like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and while Maps was kind of a weak choice outside of the bass pedal, they chose a good one this time. And I'm not familiar with the A&A, but they're musically solid. Definitely getting this pack.

Wait.

Did I miss the Toby Keith 3-pack? The Lil Jon album?

So, 80's hard rock/hair metal or nothing, huh? Broad range of options there to be sure.

Lets see... since Boston

Week 20 - free song, didn't DL
Week 21 - HMX pack, would have picked up two songs if I didn't get the free
Week 22 - Got them all
Week 23 - May get a song or two, but not the album, but nothing yet.
Week 24 - Don't care for any of them, but I may still get Red Tandy
Week 25 - Just announced... not interested in any of the songs.

So, I can't say I hate the DLC that is being released. If I get a couple of songs a month its still better than what GH offers. Hell, everyone was excited about Def Leppard in GH, but I understand all three songs were bad versions of the songs. Even if I only get 3 songs in a month that I like, its still much better support than RB gives its fans.

So, yeah, I wish I could get more songs that I like, but some are better than none. I am very happy with the support for the game even if the songs are not for me each week.

I'm still waiting for Rock Band to release here later this month but this pack will be an instant buy for me. I'm a very broad minded music fans and my massive, massice CD collection ranges from 60's rock through to modern pop-punk. Not every bit of DLC will satisfy everyone. I for one have no interest in the Grateful Dead pack.

Though for what it's worth, and I'm going against the grain here a bit, I would buy any Fall Out Boy material HMX put up. I'd love to see more pop-punk getting added.

I know it's been said a hundred times in a hundred better ways but nobody is forcing you to buy anything. You simply purchase the tracks you want, that is the beauty of the Rock Band DLC system.
