Should Dragonforce be in Rock Band?

I think Rock Band should have Dragonforce in the game. It's got some awesome guitar riffs, some insane drums, and some intense vocals. Does anybody out there think that Dragonforce should not be in Rock Band?

Good vocals, Sweet ass guitarists, Good drumming. I haven't began to understood why people keep saying this band is ****ty... Maybe it's just because they're modern and popular now. I'm willing to bet if it was some underground band and noone has heard of them half the guys here would eat them up just for the simple fact that hardly anyone would know who the hell they are. Anyways, DF would be perfect for RB. I won't vote though because you didn't add "Operation Ground and Pound" =\.

Ah, but the beatles are also classic. So far all the people i know like all the popular classic people. But as soon as someone modern gets their taste of fame everyone hates the band. Anyways, that's your opinion stick to it. But if you're going to base your opinion on one song you should really check out some of their other ones before deciding, just a suggestion.

it's because the band sucks. if they cant play their music live, they shouldn't have recorded it that way. its all wankery that the guitarists cant pull off more than 1 time.

Just think of it as them using electronics to be able to do what is impossible normally. I think they sound the same in every song, and Fire and Flames is the best version.

All their songs sound the same either musically or lyrically so GH got it covered.
Also the guitar playing sounds sloppy or messy whatever you'd like to call it.

I dont think they SHOULD be in the game...that implies they have some sort of right for being in the game.

Besides, I dont know why people masturbate to DragonForce. I dont know what people see in them. They are in the lowest tier of power metal, so I dont know whats the big deal people have with them.

Dragonforce is ok, but man I'd take any Buckethead song over them any day. Probably only saying that because I finally beat Jordan though lol. Seriously though, I'd like to see "Buckethead & Friends: Enter the chicken", "Eletric Tears", "Giant Robot" (Binge and Grab ftw). Colma would be nice too because Sur Moon is pretty bad ass.

I'm a power metal fan (amongst other genres... go gypsy punk!) and there're a few bands I'd like to see in a rhythm game aside from Dragonforce but I also know that Dragonforce is more or less a gateway band. People listen to them and then they like them and then they find other bands in that genre. Of course, if you don't like power metal then yeah, you'll hate Dragonforce. It's like trying to feed a fat kid black licorice; you just don't do it. If you do like Dragonforce, then there's a world of other bands out there for you. Helloween and Stratovarius come to mind. They'd be awesome. With that said, I'd love to see "Revolution Deathsquad" put into a game.

Guitar oriented bands dont belong in rockband. I say no to 2/3s of a song being guitar solos.

not really, I had never heard of them before a few months ago when a friend of mine told me about them and I thought they didn't sound great at all, I thought the sounded kind of lame, I wasn't even aware that they were popular, but to each his own.

But, to stay on topic I wouldn't really care one way or the other if Dragon Force was or wasn't in rock band, but it would be kinda hard to emulate the keyboards, lol.

Being a little bit older than most and kinda stuck in my ways musically (I said it would never happen. It did and it'll happen to most of you!), I'd never heard of dragonforce until the GH forum and subsequent track announcement. So I looked them up on youtube and it's not for me. Fantastic guitars, but lacking any substance or melody.

Based on that, I'm saying DLC only as I can see why others might like them and respect their musical tastes*. That way I don't have to buy/play it. Personally, I like the radio-friendly choice of RB's songs so far. I'm also looking forward to picking and choosing what I want from DLC.


*IMHO you could call someones child/wife/sister ugly and it's less likely to provoke a fist fight compared to questioning someones musical taste.

I think DLC DragonForce is not a bad idea. Honestly I don't.

If you don't want to buy it fine. If you don't like their guitar focus fine. Everybody wins (well except for the fans who have to pay extra).

DragonForce is not my favorite band but I do give a listen every once and a while. I don't think they're any more or less rock than, say, Iron Maiden who gets bashed because they have four guitarist. So what? Guitar makes you less rock?

Everybody *****es they want difficult guitar for DLC because all the other instruments besides bass seem to be having more fun. So when a guitar oriented band/song is suggested everybody just complains. Logic? Where art thou?

But I can agree there are better bands we can get awesome guitar from (Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Led Zepplin, Hendrix, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Primus, I mean the list goes on) but I don't think DragonForce should be excluded either.

Dragonforce is a disgrace to power metal. Period. Way too fast, way too much of the same, way too boring.
