We can't pre-order peripherals?

I went to my gamestop to pre-order a copy of Rock Band and a drum set (separately, I guess since there's no game+drums bundle yet). Anyways, I was told by the cashier or whoever it was that I could only pre-order either the game or the $200 bundle. I told her I only wanted the game and drum set, but she kept telling me I could only get the drum set if I got the $200. Since I didn't feel like spending having to eventually $200 I left. Has anyone been able to pre-order individual instruments?

yeah. I wasn't planing on using my credit card, but I guess i'll have to. I guess i'll just wait and see if game stop gets more options.

I was able to pre-order my copy of the game and wireless controller seperatly from the EbGames (gamstop now >_>) I go to.. I think the person taking your "order" was uninformed... I place my pre-order from the Store Manager, so I know he knew how to do it... plus we're buds.. =P

Um?I pre-order the special edition bundle and i also pre-order a seperate guitar,i was also able to do at the actual gamestop store.

It seems like whoever you talked to was a real idiot. I'd go back another day and try again. If not, just order online.

a LONG time ago (like, late july), i called a handful of gamestops in my area to ask if we could pre-order peripherals and I got shot down by each one... so that's cool if it's a different policy now.

I pre-ordered the game back in May, and went back maybe a couple weeks or a month ago to pre-order a microphone with no problems. I remember asking directly if pre-ordering peripherals was possible and the person (who I think is probably an assistant manager because he's always there) said yes they were, so I proceded to put money down on the mic. Maybe it's just certain store districts that are all uptight?
