I am completely new to this SingStar thing so I thought it was interesting :) I kinda wished "Would?" should be in this game but.. guess you can't have everything... Then again theres still "Man in the Box" that people keep asking for (some people).

Hooray - I got this game, along with the 80s one and started playing them today. I'm not too bad except on some songs you have to sing the "wooos" and other yells that aren't really lyrics. That really messed me up on the song Alive. I would have had a decent score otherwise.

I'm pretty confident I'll be able to play RB vocals on hard, but I'll probably have to wait until I know the playlist better to take on expert.

Appears to be like that. That screenshot of Layne is part of the music video so I'm guessing thats what it is.

Yeah, basically any song that has had a music video made for it will have one playing in the background behind the note charts. For older stuff, there's usually a photo montage or footage of live performances in the background.

SingStar is much more a party game than anything. There's no avatar selection, no unlockable songs (that I know of) and singe player modes don't have any sort of tiered set-up - the songs are just alphabetized. I'm pretty sure you can't even fail a song, just get a really bad score.
