Do the Rock band guitars work with GH3?

I'm not sure if this has been posted or not yet. Sorry if it has. But I was wondering if the guitars that come with rock band will also work with guitar hero 3? Or vise versa? Thanks.

GH3 guitar supposedly works for Rock Band but pretty sure it doesn't work the other way around.

HMX has said that they want all guitars to work across both games, but Activision gets the final say. And yes, this has been asked plenty of times. Please, use the search function.

Have any of the game-reviewers gotten copies of GH3 yet? I'm just waiting for them to get 360 versions of both so they can try to swap guitars...
