how do you drummers do this? when a single note comes up then you have to hit the bass alone without wanting to hit a note or hit the note with bass to do them seperately? i try it on creep on expert and it's yellow, bass, yellow/bass and i can't do it, when i got it down, i had problems with the 2nd bass with the yellow, and say it ain't so is practically yellow, bass, yellow all seperate and it's hard to do lmao any advice?

Just practice, the independence will come eventually. I would suggest not trying Creep though. The timing on that one is deceptive, I have problems with it even though songs like Vasoline and Little Sister are easy for me.

just practice it. slow it down in practice mode and just play it. its as simple as that. you'll get it soon.

All about limb independence, and, as stated above, practice is the only solution.

I totally know what you mean, I used to have this problem too, but keep working on it and you should get it!

I end up doing a weird whole body rocking motion for those sorts of songs.

Also, don't start on creep, go to hard, play wave of mutilation until you've 5 starred it, then try reptilia.

ya you have to learn to treat the bass pedal as a totally separate note. Once you move to hard its not longer the note that comes with other notes theres lots of different bass patterns that have bass without notes to accompany it. So definitly just practice practice practice!

Like the others have said just keep at it. It's a pretty cool feeling when all the sudden it starts clicking. First for just the odd bass note, then a string of 2 or 3, then you can start keeping it up. I still do the "rocking motion" every now and then for Wave of Mutilation on Hard.

One thing that I've noticed now, is that a hear that bass note slip in there a lot better now. Earlier when I was missing it (on the pad), it was harder to pick up audibly.

Don't believe these guys, with all that "practice" BS. Sure, you could wimp out and do it that way, slow the beat down, try to "feel" the kick apart from the arm strokes, slowly increase speed while train your body to follow the rhythm.

That's loser talk.

Catch a Leprechaun. Train him to pump the kick pedal for you by using Snasauges as a reward.

Leprechauns love Snausages.
