Adding Eric Clapton, and some of the other real guitar gurus, would be the best way to entice my dad into joining the game. He can play real guitar (albeit nowhere near Clapton's level), and I'm hoping to show him that a little toy guitar can be fun too.

Besides which, I enjoy Clapton myself. I'd love a version of I Shot the Sherriff that's nearer his live version on... I forget which DVD that is, sorry. But it's a lot more upbeat than the song I downloaded which appears to be the "official" version. Oh, and, what is it, Copperline? But I haven't actually taken the time to analyze any Clapton songs for Rock Band suitability, so those suggestions might not be right - they just happen to be songs we both like, is all.

Whatever the case - we need Clapton.

I mean, Layla sounds familiar but I can't think how it goes. My dad listens to the same couple of songs over and over because he doesn't have very many DVD's and he happens to like those songs, so those are the ones I know, and they don't include Layla... or the others you've mentioned, most of them. But I'd like to see them on YouTube.

On the 1988 box set Crossroads is a studio version of Got to Get Better in a Little While, recorded right before the Dominoes broke up.

It's quite a bit different than the Live at the Fillmore version, but it rocks hard and has a slow funky groove to it. Even better, it clocks in at 5 1/2 minutes, making it a bit more suitable for the Rock Band experience.

Chances of ever getting this song are slim, but it would make a great "deep cut" on a Clapton track pack to balance the hits like Layla and Cocaine. That said, I'd gladly take just about any Clapton as well.

It would be great to have Clapton in Rock Band, but I just can't see that ever happening. Clapton has been in so many different bands because he isn't exactly a great person to work with. In addition, he is incredibly protective of his music and I can't see him agreeing to have his music in a video game. He's just too uptight about things.

With the keyboard peripheral, I am so hoping that the original Derek and the Dominoes version of Layla will be on RB3. The guitar riff is awesome, and the piano outro will be great to practice chords on Pro Keys with.
