4:3 Aspect Ratio

I know it has already been said that HMX are doing the screens in Rock Band so they will display right on any aspect ratio TV.

My question is has anyone actually come across a video of it being played in 4:3 as we don't own a 16:9 TV and have no plans on replacing a perfectly good 29" 4:3 TV just to play a game.

I don't doubt what HMX has said I just want to see what it looks like in the 4:3 ratio so I can decide if I like the look and can save the money for it.

I am more worried about the readability of lyrics with the amount of stuff on screen than anything else.

If it's 29 inch you should be fine.

Just not sure if they're going to squish it all up or keep it in widescreen and letterbox the picture so there black bars on top and bottom.

There is a video on the forums here somewhere of 4 people playing on an old wood paneled tv... I mean this thing is old, it's wood paneled ffs lol. And i'd say it was about 15"s... something around there and the display and quality were great. So there shouldn't be a problem, doesn't matter how many people are playing 1-4 it should look fine on any tv.

It looks like it's around a 24" or 25" oldschool TV, and the HUD doesn't look too squished. I've got a brand new 29" sdtv, so this made me very happy. :D

ok that does make me happy I was worried it would either bee all squished up like you said or the black bar top and bottom effectivly making the screen smaller and harder to see.

But man they were Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad my 8 year old is better than them
