Rock Band is RUINED FOREVER!

Fans realize something Harmonix does not, that a new popular franchise, while seemingly healthy, is in actuality as fragile as two bricks tied together with tissue paper. One mistake, one bad mis-step will cause the entire thing to shatter and fall apart; and Rock Band would be Ruined Forever. (http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Ruined_forever)

Fortunately, there is hope. The Rock Band fanbase has resolved to remain ever vigilant against something that could Ruin Rock Band Forever, and call out a warning if they see something that could potentially do so.

Some Rock Band conservationists suggest a more extreme approach, that Rock Band should abandon all attempts at broadening horizons and instead cater exclusively to one genre. Though attractive, this approach may prove impractical as a long-term solution.

Ruined Forever remains a serious threat to Rock Band now and in the foreseeable future, though it's possible a proposed initiative requiring all Rock Band fans to purchase a weekly "digital offset" could ensure our fragile brand's existence through the mid-21st century.

i have never heard of anyone suggesting hmx resort to releasing a single genre. in fact, the situation is quite the opposite. people feel that their favorite genre may be underused and are asking hmx to put that genre in the game, not release that one genre.

When I first read it earlier in the day, I kind of snickered at it. I got the joke, it was a mildly humorous joke, but when I came back a few hours later....WOW.

Amidst all of the constant arguing about literary relevance, there are still people dialing in to voice their opinion on how the OP is wrong. I agree 100%! I have yet to purchase any DLC because its all stuff I don't know and I know music. Never heard of those bands and who cares about them! HMX I demand a refund for it all! All of it...even my Xbox 360 because it was corrupted by Rock Band.

agreed i believe that the game needed REAL metal. quite frankly the only thing that was metal before the 90's was Slayer everything else was hard rock or something weaker. blah blah Iron Maiden was metal blah blah. no they werent they were 80s rock.(not saying they suck because i like maiden) then you can argue that without bands like iron maiden or metallica or megadeth or black sabbeth we wouldnt have Metal today. wrong. if they didnt do what they did somebody else would have and we would still have metal kinda like if edison didnt invent the lightbulb then we wouldnt have it. somebody else would have done it if he wouldnt have.
quite frankly if people can fight for rap and country along with classic rock then i believe people have a right to have real Metal or as most would call it Black Metal or Death Metal or some stupid thing like that.
