I'm 22, been playing guitar for about 4 years, and have played pretty much everything from Spice Girls - Two Become One, to Dashboard Confessional, to Stevie Ray Vaughan, to Black Sabbath, to A7X, and back to Spice Girls with their latest release.

Maybe I am just lucky enough to know what sounds good and have respect for musicians... maybe I just love music too much. Maybe I understand the hard work that goes into making a song, and/or designing a game... or maybe it's just the fact that I'm not a crybaby biotch.

Bottom line, you children and your complaining are meaningless. To the whole entire Rock Band Community, to HMX, to MTV, to EVERYBODY. Cry all you want... it's not going to change because YOU ARE the minority and "Grown-Ups" understand that.

There used to be this kid that used to post here... BigFatKid or something lame and insecure like that ya know.. he would sit here and ***** about The Police and "Old Music... I want Aqua, I want Britney Spears, and Aakon... "... It was the stupidest sh*t I've ever heard.

I've never been a Blondie fan... I don't have Call Me on my Zune. I don't know ANYTHING about her, but I know a catchy song, a FAMOUS song, and a song that's FUN AS HELL to play when I see one... THAT'S WHAT MATTERS.

I DONT GET IT! People here CRY AND CRY about Modern Music... get an education. The two genres DOMINATING the industry right now are Hip-Hop and Country... and we KNOW neither of those are coming to Rock Band... anything other than that's is going to be **** like All American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, and other "emo" stuff you nerds like the cry about.

Disturbed, Godsmak, Slayer, Metallica, and other hard rock - butt rock - metal heads are the most musically predujice bunch. They want one genre and one only.... throw your black Ozzy T-**** in the closet and get laid.

To the people who want OLD CLASSIC ROCK and are "SICK OF ALL THE MODERN MUSIC"... what are you crying about?

Oh yea! You want Lynyrd Skynyrd right? But no.. not simple man.... You want either Tuesday's Gone or Sweet Home Alabama, two Skynyrd songs that you got from fuc*ing Happy Gilmore or a KFC commercial... IDIOTS.

The biggest thing that bothers me about music in general are the people who are too insecure to admit how they feel.

How many of you think Fallout Boy are a bunch of "emo garbage losers who play pus*y butt rock and suck... i'll NEVER get their DLC they blow"...

If that's how you feel... you MORE THAN LIKELY fit into one of the following categories.

A. You're a High School kid that can play a horrible rendition of Purple Haze on your squire... and if someone at school heard you liked FOB... they'd think you're a "f@g".

B. You're a slightly over-weight metal head.

C. You're a 120lbs pastey who just got finished watching his favorite Naruto marathon.

D. You SUCK @SS at it on expert drums.

Now, side note... none of the above things are "bad" necessarily, but they are accurate. When I couldn't play FOB I didn't enjoy the song. Now that I can play it, it's probably the most fun song on disc.

ALSO!!!.... I'm EXCITED for the fuc*ing FOB song on Tuesday. Am I a huge fan? Do I wanna bang FOB? Do I have all their albums? No... but I know a catchy, famous, fun to play song when I hear one.

To all you "unique individuals" that are thinking "famous doesn't mean great"... you're right. BUT... it does mean that the majority approves. Don't think that because you say you're unique you are... you're just as regular if not even more regular than any other ***** out there. The artists ARE making more money than you, and getting more ass.... pretty much you fail, they win.


I talked to a guy today who had all the DLC. He was 31 years old. I have like 30 friends online that have mostly all the DLC, ALL AROUND the board, and they are in their late 20's.

I join a game with a kid, or some dbag that had to borrow his mommies CC info for get the Thrash pack and I'm speechless. Speechless that they have any right to come here to complain.

It's POLLUTING the forums. How bout you work towards a solution and shut the fuc* up. I nejoy most of the DLC, and I don't even care what comes out. I would LOVE to see Styx - Renegade, some Stevie Ray Vaughan, and loads of Muse... but if I don't... I'm not going to cry on the forums.

I'll put in my request, and move on with my life.


tl;dr - YOU DON'T HAVE TO FUC*ING BUY IT, THE GAME DOESNT EVEN HAVE TO BE OUT. IT'S OUT, PLAY WHAT YOU WANT, GROW THE FUC* UP, AND TRY TO EXPAND YOUR MUSICAL TASTE.

Sure, he may make a point or two, but it's presented in an aggressive and offensive way, as well as sound like an elitest since he mentioned his guitar career.

Fact of the matter is that everyone has their own musical opinion, and a lot of those may conflict. This thread is no better than the ones that say "OMG Y WE GIT SUHC BAD MUZAK DIS WEEK?!". Complaining is complaining regardless of whether or not you do it about the community or the music.

I didn't read your "entire" post, but I got the general gist of it.

It sounded like the basic premise was quit *****ing, buy the songs you like, and get on with your life. Also, don't call certain bands "trash" when they are actually some of the most popular bands, currently. Oh yeah...and expand your horizons/tastes.

If that was a general overview, I absolutely agree with your post. There are way too many immature people who post their opinions about DLC. I love how tons of the people who are extremely into classic rock that is a decade or two old post comments about newer songs trying to make them sound like only little kids will want them as well as criticizing Harmonix for choosing the song they have. You'd think the people who are so into the older rock would be a bit more mature, but they definitely show their immaturity, ignorance, and arrogance when they post their opinions and try to make them sound like fact.

I buy what i like and some that i think is cool to play. Still allive is prime exmple of this along with rock rebellion. the first 2 songs i beat on expert. Theres alot of dlc that i own that wont find its way to my zen or even my computer. I play it alot cuase its fun. I dont have all dlc and wont til i start doing the karoke nights round town. (thats how ill buy the dlc i dont already own.)

Just because someone disagrees with your taste in music is no grounds for insulting them, or for stereotyping them - which is even worse.

Is it really so hard to believe that someone dislikes music simply because they feel it is bad music, and don't have to meet any other criteria in order to feel that way?

Your thread, a supposed "solution" to the whiners, is, in my opinion, probably more fuel for their fire than anything. The large amount of people who complain about the people complaining about the downloadable content's quality probably just gets the people complaing about the dlc even more revved up and willing to attack.

So you like a lot more of the music being put in the game than those people do. Big deal. That doesn't mean that their musical taste is smaller than yours. It doesn't mean they're idiots who don't know anything about music. It doesn't mean they're fat kids who's mommies didn't love them enough. It just means that their musical taste is different than yours and I don't see why that is such a sin on this board.

I agree 100% with the OP. Stop complaining about the DLC. I like most of it, despite I don't know half of it, and I can't wait for the official EU DLC to appear in our store. I'll try to get it all if I'm not gonna be broke^^

Bingo. That's what killed this post for me. There's no need to mention the guitar playing. It comes off as very snobby. I'm sure there's a lot of people who play on these boards. I do, and for just as long (4 years), but I don't see the point in bringing it up when talking about DLC in a plastic guitar game. And he made it worse when he mentioned people playing a crappy rendition of Purple Haze on a Squire. Yeah, like you picked up a Gibson Les Paul and belted out Eruption on day one, right? Everyone sucks when they start, and most people start with low-end models, so why pick on it? You were there too once.

Step off the soap box and take a breath. It's only a video game. Complaining about complaining is still complaining. You never see a fireman use a flamethrower to put out a fire, do you?

As with the above post, here's another solution for you RyBu. If you can't stand the "pollution" on the forums, get off them. Then you don't have to hear about this kind of whining at all, and you can just check your xbox 360 or Playstation 3 every Tues/Thurs and buy all of the tracks always and forever, since you're happy with everything they do.

No company is perfect, and while they might not care about one individual's opinion of what the music should be, that individual still has every right to announce it. The problem isn't that they are announcing it, its that you are reading it and taking it as a knock to your opinion.
