View Full Version : Just a thought?

I was thinking about this the other day. I'll be the first to admit I'm not the best guitarist on here and 90% of the time if I go online and play random quickplay I'll sit back and play bass and let a better guitar player have at it. I still have a lot of fun and a lot of the songs have great bass lines. Cherub Rock, Dani Californa and Working Man are a few. Anyway, my thought was how cool would it be to tackle some songs that had cool bass lines and still have enough vocal, guitar and drum parts to be good enough for the game. Fleetwood Mac is the first band that comes to mind. I think it'd be a blast to do some of John McVie's bass parts especially on "The Chain". I'm sure there's lots of other songs like this. Sweet Emotion and Come Together by Aerosmith starts out with a decent bass part.

Not really sure, what do you think??

Roundabout and I've Seen All Good People? Might be a couple fun ones to play. I've got 3 or 4 of their cd's and am a big fan.

Check out "I'm Your Captain", by Grand Funk Railroad...

It's about as perfect of a song for Rock Band as there could be. Hopefully it shows up as DLC one day.

I have that song. You're right. I think there's probably tons of songs from that time frame that would fit well in here. Just the right balance of vocals, drums, bass and guitar. Good choice!!!

I agree...most of their songs would work. I like the 2 that are on here. Tom Sawyer and Working Man. Could definitely use some more though.

any YES songs would be awesome. I don't personally care for bass driven stuff as I love playing drums more than anything, but yeah, i'd dont' know, i just say bring on more songs! hah

Don't forget about Limelight. Awesome, awesome song. One of the better DLC songs I've picked up so far. My favorite of the three currently available Rush songs for RB. :)
