Playing with only 3 fingers?

Long ago, I broke the pinky side of my left hand and I cannot hold down the buttons with my pinky finger on my left hand. Problem is, I don't have the dexterity to play the guitar controller lefty (I've tried and can't even get past easy). I can do a few songs on hard (not many mind you), but not enough to advance thru band mode. My other band mates (in house) can play on hard, but since I cannot, we always get we need to play on a harder level and I just physically cannot. I love the game and it is fun, but it is so frustrating.

I'm kinda disappointed, this is the first game I bought like this (never played guitar hero for fear of the problem) and I can't even get thru it all. Anyone know of any tips that may help? Anyone know anyway to advance any further?

I'll tell you right now in my experience Pinkie is advanced tech anyways. Lost of people don't use it, and can do just fine.

If you're already on hard in just a few short months, you're moving at a decent speed. Find a home with your hand, something comfortable, and use what you know.

EX.

I play pinkie, but my good friend is a great PG (Plastic Guitarist) and he 3-fingers it.

Set your "home" on Red.

G - Open, R - Pointer, Y - Middle, B - Ring, O - Open (and keep that broken pink off the board =) ).

When playing something like this...

G - R - G - R - G, try to move your FINGER instead of your hand. Your pointer should be going G,R,G,R,G,R,G.

When I play I want to say that G and R never meet any other finger than Pointer. I hope you get what I'm saying. Practice makes perfect... but practicing correctly makes perfecter.

So basically saying don't move the middle finger off yellow unless it's a GR or BO combo then. just try and keep my middle finger anchored to the yellow button...

I've always played with three fingers and I only use my pinky when I do three note chords. I play on expert and can 100% most songs...I don't know how I do it I just do it

Practice will get you there. I know a 5-year old boy who beats adults in GH3 competitions on Expert, and he only plays with 2 fingers unless there's a 3-note chord. He never uses his pinky.

Django did it on a real guitar, though his ring and little fingers were fused together in a fire. YOU CAN DO IT ... and probably come up with your own technique that others will try to emulate.
