!$&!&@!!!
This idiot doesn't know doesn't know when to stop! One of DoA's Helena quotes suits Jack Thompson well...
"You are like a mosquito, loud and insignificant."
From The Escapist (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.48947):
Anti-videogame crusader and candidate for disbarment Jack Thompson has filed suit to have the upcoming Halo 3 declared a public nuisance in Florida.
Thompson names Best Buy and Microsoft as defendants in his complaint, stating that the companies are "presently selling, for delivery commencing on October 25, 2007 [sic], the violent, interactive video game entitled Halo 3." The complaint cites Florida statutes 823.01, which refers to nuisances that "annoy the community, injure the health of the citizens in general, or corrupt the public morals," and 823.05, which addresses individuals and businesses who maintain "any building, booth, tent or place which tends to annoy the community or injury the health of the community."
"Halo 3 is a video game that allows the virtual reality player to rehearse violent acts resulting in the death of one's virtual victims," Thompson says in his complaint. "Lee Boyd Malvo, the younger of the two 'DC Beltway Snipers' was trained on Halo to kill residents within Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. His "mentor," John Muhammad, knew the efficiency of the first Halo video game in this regard, because the Army in which he served used this same murder simulator to trainer snipers to kill. Malvo learned well on Halo."
This is not Thompson's first attempt at misusing Florida law to pursue his vendetta against the videogame industry. In 2006, Thompson filed a public nuisance complaint against Rockstar's Bully which was denied, and also led to a Bar complaint from the presiding judge over Thompson's behavior before the court.

To Harvest or not to Harvest, that is the question;
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The pipes and bullets of outrageous Splicers,
Or to take arms against a horde of Big Daddies,
And by opposing, end them. To die, to sleep...

So its virtually harmless? God, what will he do next?
"Viva Pinata encourages the virtual beating of Pinatas! Which resemble colorful animals!"

Here's how the next one of these is going to read, just need to re-arrange the first line:
The state of Florida has filed suit to have Anti-videogame crusader and candidate for disbarment Jack Thompson declared a public nuisance.

Do you know how amazing that would be? That would make me just that much more proud to live in Florida.

I didn't think anyone really cared about JT anymore. Seems to me he's just blowing steam now, and most respectable news outlets won't touch him. If the game publications would let him die already, maybe he'd shut up (or nobody would hear what he was saying, which is just as good).

Do you think that he may have a severe psychological problem? It seems he would say Mario is the cause of modern italian mobsters if he had a chance.

No no no.
He would accuse Mario of promoting drug use by eating 'magic mushrooms' to make him bigger, thus enabling him to kill helpless animals with no remorse.
I have four words for Jackass Thompson. *ahem*
SHUT!

Ladies and gentlement! Jackie boy is at it again!!!
"Have you got Jack Thompson fatigue?
Yeah, we have it too.
In the wake of yesterday’s server-crashing, mind-numbing revelation by GamePolitics that the anti-game attorney sent *** porn pics to a federal judge we could use a couple of Jack-less days.
Alas, it’s not to be. The activist, who sometimes refers to himself as the “Energizer Bunny” of the game violence debate, is at it again.
In a press release issued late yesterday, Thompson claims that his 15-year-old son has once again purchased an M-rated (17 and older) game at a South Florida retailer.
Readers may recall our September 13th story in which Thompson claimed that Junior purchased BioShock at a local Best Buy. This time around Thompson says it was Halo 3:
Miami attorney and anti-violent video game activist today did a successful sting on Target Corporation. His fifteen-year-old son, on the first try, was able to buy the “Mature-rated” Halo 3 without producing any age ID at the Dadeland Station Target."

Big deal. He bought a game. No store is required by law to card for games. You know, even the board that rates movies? That's not required by law. That's a voluntary system that theaters willfully enforce. If someone let a child into an R-Rated movie, it's not a punishable-by-law offense. Neither is buying a game. I don't think people realize that maturity rating systems are ALL voluntary. Gotta love the protection of the Arts.

I feel sorry for his kid. I'd be totally pissed if, when I was 15, my dad made me go trick store clerks into selling me games he wouldn't let me play.

Sorry I didn't notice your reply... It says "Big Daddy of Next Door" literally, but you'd want to translate, "My Neighbor, Big Daddy" to go with the English-translated title. And technically it should be Tonari no Hito Ookii Otousan.
