Anyone else here rock a projector with a huge stereo system? After my friends found out I had a projector, 100" screen and guitar hero they absolutely refuse to ever go to their houses and play on their little 27" tvs with the tinny sound of built in speakers. :D

Well I'm not talking about playing tiger woods 03 here....
Quite obviously Rock Band on a 100" screen is going to KICK ASS

Stereo is 90's, get with the 21st century and get surround sound. Then we'll talk 100" screens.

I apologize, apparently "having a stereo" is being taken too literally. It's 5.1 surround if you really need to know. Nothing fancy. Not like the game is taking advantage of anything beyond stereo atm anyways.

I fully understand.

My setup includes a 115" Stewart Firehawk G2 screen, with a Toshiba MT8 720p DLP projector and a Paradigm Reference Signature series speaker system (5.1) and HSU VTF-3 sub on a Pioneer VSX-917 amp. I've been playing on it for so long, I can't imagine playing any other way.

You should see Bioshock or Halo 3 on this baby. Can't wait for GH3 and RB.

Right, let's talk screens then.

I'm planning on a block-party, with an industrial projector projecting Rock Band on the wall of one of the office-buildings nearby. Should be about at least 5 meters, 160" for you non-metrics.

I suppose I could pull my projector back a few more feet and get 160" but meh. 100" is big enough when I'm 10 feet away from it. Good on you though, rb/gh block party would be the ****.

hate to get horribly derailed from the topic but how are you finding Warhawk? I haven't picked it up yet because my gf doesn't have internet at her house. Looks pretty cool.

Boston Acoustic Reference speakers with the good ol VR12 center matched with Mirage Subs. 10 speakers total with Adcom powering them all. I do play on an 86" panasonic High def projection, but that is a far second from the sound system you use for this game.

I only look up for brief moments anyway to see what I am supposed to be playing. other than that, YOU are the show my friend, not what is playing on the screen. :)

Okay I didn't mean to show off my stuff, but someone else started it...

(Who wants a rock party at my place when it comes out?)

It's crazy fun!!! As a matter of fact it's so much fun that you should go ahead and pay for the internet connection at your girlfriend's place so you can play!!! :D

If you do get a chance to play, look for me (PSN name: Red__5) there are a few of us from these forums that are already addicted to WarHawk and have formed a clan "LoneWolf Assassins". Also if you want to talk about WH there is a thread (of said clan) on the general section of the forums"WarHawk clan name!!".
