Here is a video of me singing "Run to the Hills" on expert for those who requested it. I can't sing it 100% yet, or even get gold stars. But, I almost always get at least 98%. My highest was 99% and 176,XXX. I'll get there one day. It doesn't really matter, as long as it keeps being fun to sing!
I'm sitting down this time because the combination of allergies and caffeine had my voice shaking like crazy when I stood up. Hehe. :D
And before you watch: Yes, I know I am skinny. I know I'm pale. And, I'm well aware that I'm a dork. There! I just saved you the effort of telling me! :p
If you have any other video requests, let me know.

Sounds like a GLaDos version of Run to the Hills! It's very cute, well done.

The day I'm willing to film myself singing along to anything and post it for millions to see (and mock) will be the day I cast stones at anyone else brave enough to do it. Good job on the song.

I am doomed with a "cute" voice forever! :D But, yeah. Everyone says my voice is perfect for "Still Alive".

I noticed in your signature picture you have some Priest. How about one of those? I still haven't downloaded any and since your voice is similar to mine in sound (though you're a far better singer!) I wanted to see if it's reasonable for me to even sing it.
Much thanks if you do this. :)

Oh, my. I am not so good at those ones yet, but I'll work on it! I think I have the best chance at "Hellion/Electric Eye". That one is fun. They are on my iPod now, so I'll get there...

Sweet overdrive activation!
It's a nice change of pace to see vocal videos. I spend so much time watching guitar and drum videos that vocal videos (good or bad) are always a breath of fresh air.

I always feel kinda weak in the beginning of that song - maybe because it is at the lower end of my register. I eventually have to jump up an octave for "...be set freeeee". I just have to practice, practice, practice.
BTW - Nice nick! :D

You say this like being skinny, pale, and a dork is a bad thing. I take pride in my skinnyness, paleness, and occassionaly my dorkyness.
Awesome job on the song. Wish i could do expert vocals, instead of struggling with medium. (I cant hold a tune to save my life)

Oh, none of those things are bad, but I've been around the internet long enough to know that any of those features is bound to bring out the trolls. I have a whole page on my site featuring some of the spectacular opinions people have thrown my way over the years.

This is one song where I have no problem with the talkies. A rare thing, indeed.
Uh, on the Rockband.com leaderboards, I think I'm around 250 right now. On Xbox? No idea. I haven't finished the bonus tour yet. I need to go down to medium and learn the songs in the second half!

Ah, punquin, ye've it all wrong me lassie!
The problem isn't being pale, skinny nor dorky - it's the fact that there are no girls on the internets ;)
Normally, the nerd patrol would descend on threads like this and ask for proof that are not in fact a slobbering geek devoting his life to anime, furry creatures, dungeons & dragons, obscure cartoons and tricking other guys into thinking they're girls (none of which - with the exception of the last point - are inherently bad; it's just the combination ;) ).
Of course, you've already posted proof, so this thread should be pretty flame retardant and troll proof.
ANYHOO, you do sing very well - now how about doing drums and singing at the same time? :D

Your not skinny and pale you're beautiful and did a great job singing that song.
If I try to stay in range and nail that on hard - usually I can't even talk properly for about 3 days after that totally hard song.
And thanks for sharing the video.

Now, THAT would be funny. I was booted off the drums at our party after the hilarity of my rolls on RTTH (on MEDIUM). I didn't fail, however. I couldn't imagine being able to hold my voice steady enough for expert vocals while banging on the drums!
If I try to stay in range and nail that on hard - usually I can't even talk properly for about 3 days after that totally hard song.
RTTH is in my range. Put me in front of "Black Hole Sun" of the Hole song and my throat is hurting from trying to sing so low...

I would REALLY like to see you sing two songs: The killers - When we were young and that seven song on the bonus songs.
I really like those songs myself so it would be nice to see how your voice would sound on those songs.
I cant remember who, but you should do the same, record one of the songs without singing, then overlap it with you REALLY singing. Your voice is good but sometimes I wonder what it would sound like without having to hold notes and making it sound flat.
btw you dance like a raver... made me laugh...

Good work. People just laugh when I sing RTTH. It does not compliment my voice (anything on key or pitch does not compliment my voice). I am not a singer, but no one else in the band has the ba... (Courage) to do it.

As usual - GREAT JOB!! RTTH is hit or miss for me with the "talky" parts. I've found it easier to almost sing them rather than say them.
Are you going into falsetto for the chorus? I can hit it three different ways: falsetto, chest, octave lower. For the sake of saving my voice I usually jump down an octave.

Good job on the vocals...
I reported the jpipe? post and asked them to do the "ban hammer slammer" on the guy. Looks like they went even farther. Not only was he a juvenile jerkoid, it was his first post!

One of my faves to sing! Although I can only manage about 90% -- you rock!
Singer in my band -- also skinny and pale. Nothing wrong with it, cuz you can both sing very well! Come to think of it, so is our drummer.. guess that's why they make such a good couple.. Anyway, I digress.. Great job, keep it up, gold stars will come your way!

No, that is in my normal range. I usually have to sing a lot of songs up an octave because hardly any sound comes out when I try to sing low. If I went down an octave on the chorus of RTTH, the word "run" would be too low.

Oh, **** no! I am the least competitive person on the planet (except with myself, maybe). I think I'd either have a heart attack or cry if I ever tried one of those score duels - especially with someone who gets the number one score on every song there is!
I can't even handle games where people shoot at you. It's too upsetting! :D

1) Punquin rocks the mic.
2) When Punquin's singer bits are grumpy with allergies #1 still applies, but with added emphasis. You can even throw in an exclamation point.
3) Punquin is a tiny bundle of cute, possibly improved only by the addition of freckles.
Thus endeth the sermon. Rock on.

That headset resting on the drums has a mic that is plugged into my laptop. I used that for audio and my laptop's built-in iSight for video. Not the best, but it works and is fast.

Well, I work night shift. So morning/afternoon is when I post.
I am sorry you are intimidated, but there are actually people on here that have 1000+ posts that joined last month. That could be considered mind-boggling. Then again, you can really rack up your posts in the General section (Word Association,etc...) so it really isn't too serious or difficult for that matter.:)
