From Anarchy Club Myspace bullentin:

Greetings from the Anarcave, deep beneath the urban metropolis of Boston, MA. There's a lot to talk about, so I won't waste any time...

Our new cd E.P., "A Single Drop of Red" is being tightened up and polished as we speak, and will be out shortly after Halloween. It features four all new unreleased songs, "Collide" (from GH2), and six kick ass, tripped out remixes of songs from "The Way and its Power". We'll also be releasing it at a budget price (under $10 US). So the wait is almost over. Thank you all for your timeless support and endless patience...

Now to finally answer the OTHER big question I've been hearing a lot these days... Anarchy Club WILL NOT be featured in Guitar Hero 3. We WILL be in featured in Rock Band, however. Here's the story behind this-

I work for Harmonix, the company that created and made Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 2, Guitar Hero 360, and the 80's Expansion Pack. The goal (and history of the company) is to make games that make music an interactive experience for gamers, and to make games and music more accessible. Before the GH series we did games like Amplitude and the Karaoke Revolution series.

After Red Octane, the publisher (the people who put a game out AFTER a developer MAKES the game) was bought by Activision, Red Octane and Harmonix parted ways, and Red Octane kept the name Guitar Hero. Shortly after, Harmonix was bought by MTV. This allowed us to have a substantially larger budget to work with, as well as access to all major and indie labels for obtaining original tracks and song rights.

With new doors open, Harmonix stepped forward on creating the game we'd always wanted to make, but didn't have the resources for. That game is Rock Band, a single player/ multiplayer game that allows the player/s to play guitar, drums, bass, or sing, either solo, or with friends in a virtual band. Having worked on this game for some time now, I assure you it will ROCK YOUR WORLD!!!

Anyway, as Red Octane and Harmonix were no longer collaborating (with Harmonix designing/ making GH, and Red Octane distributing it and making the guitars) , they moved the game development over to the Neversoft team, famous for the Tony Hawk games. They didn't ask any of the Harmonix bands back for GH3, either. So there'll be no Anarchy Club, Bang Camaro, Freezepop, Acrobrats, Vagiant, etc, on GH3. All of these bands, however, will be featured in Rock Band, and you'll be able to play ALL the musical parts, not just the guitars!! And it even has a Character Creator, so you can make your own personalized rockstar/ revolutionary/ bad ass.

To all of our fans who discovered us through the Guitar Hero games, we apologize that we're not on GH3, but we weren't invited. Hopefully we'll see you all online with Rock Band in late November when it comes out. The Anarchy Club song featured in Rock Band is a brand new one from our upcoming E.P. "A Single Drop of Red". I plan on taking the top scores on the leaderboards. And yes, that IS an open challenge...

Ever Chaotically Yours,

Keith

So Anarchy-A Single Drop of Red is in the game

hopefully the song in rock band for vagiant is better than FTK.

I truly honestly enjoy playing Red Lottery and Yes We Can more than FTK. That song is beyond horrible in every way; I can't stand to listen to it for more than 10 seconds. It ticks me off every time it starts playing at the menu on GH2; I try to get to the setlist as fast as possible so I don't have to hear it. But I'm glad for Xzyliac's sake they are in the game; I'll just never play that song.

Definitely looking forward to Bang Camaro and Anarchy Club, though!

I liked FTK... and you can take this car and fill it up with lots of gas!

I sort of expected this type of annoucement in the works (especially with Freezepop confirmed), but it does not take away from the excitement of seeing it in a more semi-official manner.

I'm pretty stoked about the Acrobrats announcement. Call Out and Laughtrack were some of my favorite songs in either game. Good good stuff.

Now, as previously mentioned, all we need are Honest Bob, Shaimus...and...wait for it...The Slip. Seriously, we can't have two straight Harmonix games without The Slip, can we? No, the answer is no, we can't.

Come on, there's no way you can count Rocks the 80s. I mean, technically, you're right. But there weren't any bonus songs of note on that release at all, and I don't care how much they charged for it, I'll never see it as anything other than an expansion. Fun expansion, but expansion nonetheless.

I still stand by my two release statement. Obviously I'm not on the steadiest of ground, but it's enough to suit my own needs.

Why the hell would the Slip be in Rock the 80s? They're not a band from the 80's. It's common sense as to why they and the rest of the Harmonix bands would be excluded from Rocks the 80s.

I'm happy about Anarchy Club, Bang Camaro, and Freezepop. They all had awesome songs in GH2 (can't get "Push Push (Lady Lightning)"'s intro out of my head).

I couldn't care less about the other two. They didn't have bad music. Nah, but I just didn't really care for their tracks too much. To me, they were just more songs to get scores on.

For like, the first month I was here I thought he was a girl. Everyone does, it's hilarious. I eventually found out from his undying love for Helen, and the fact that he said at some point "I'm a dude who..." (I forget the rest) And I was all "O.O Huh??" So after that I put my avatar as myself, to avoid any gender confusion for myself.

Our song is going to be in RockBand!

Bang Camaro is once again teaming up with Harmonix! This time, our song "Pleasure (Pleasure)" is going to appear in their video game RockBand. Now, instead of just being able to play the guitar or bass parts, you'll be able to play drums or sing along with our 20 guy man-choir.

So, some of you have been asking if we're going to be in Guitar Hero III, and the answer is "no." You see, Harmonix developed Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II before starting on RockBand, so they are no longer part of GH. They were cool enough to like what we were doing before, and are sticking with us for their new game. We couldn't be happier! The game will be out before long, so watch for it!

To celebrate, we just posted a live version of "Pleasure (Pleasure)" that was recorded the last time we were in Chicago. I think it sounds pretty good for a bunch of drunks all crammed onto a stage that was half the size of our practice space. Tell us what you think!

Get more info about the game at www.rockband.com

Off their MySpace site. Hells yes! You guitarrists will be happy with this one ;)

For the record, The Anarchy Club song is not titled "A Single Drop of Red". That's the name of the E.P. we're putting out this fall. The in game song will be on the E.P. (which will be out a week or two before the game ships). We're keeping the song name in the game a secret... for now...
