What happened to these guys? I remember rumors about them making it into GH2, but there was no sign of em' there.

Honestly, Cheat on the Church is my favorite song to go back and play in GH1. It's a ton of fun on expert, has a great build up, and actually gets me fired up. (Kinda like Thunderhorse on GH2, heh).

Some more Dethklok would be pretty sweet too.... <wink wink>

hmm..ok. I was primarily just asking if anyone knows what happened to Graveyard BBQ - not requesting them.

Well, they won the contest to get into Guitar Hero. That's the whole story. There was never any indication given that they would be reappearing in future games. Rumors are just rumors.

Thanks for stating the obvious. I was looking for some insight beyond that.

Their website is very vague and unorganized, but it is obvious by looking at their myspace page that Cheat on the Church was a big hit. With all attention on guitar based games, it strikes me as just a little odd that a band who won a contest to get into the first game could disappear into such obscurity.

I used to post on this forum back in April, but I suppose after the redesign the counter got flipped and your assuming I'm some new guy that doesn't know my ass from a hole in the wall.

On the contrary I figured there might be some knowledgeable member sin this community who could share some insight. Your obviously not one of them however, so how about letting someone respond who is more helpful.

Seriously, why not just ask why The Bags, The Upper Crust, The Slip, Shaimus, etc. didn't reappear in Guitar Hero II either? They didn't forget about the bands from the first game or anything. They just weren't chosen for the next game. It's not exactly a murder mystery.

And I don't see how you can drop that line about Dethklok and claim that this topic wouldn't be better fitted in Your Ultimate Setlist. Especially considering that this forum is "The place to talk about the game and features for the game," which I presume general inquiries about bands from Guitar Hero games would not best be suited.

But whatever. Attack me after I try to answer a question. I'm done with the topic.

Everyone chill.

Graveyard BBQ, after GH, went on hiatus. Yes they were asked to come back in GHII to which they declined. They just came back, new vocalist and all, and have a new album coming out.

There is a chance we'll see them in Rock Band.

Ahhh! The new vocalist thing makes a lot of sense, as some of the tracks I was listening to definitely didn't sound quite the same.

Thanks for the response Xzyliac.

Unlike the troll, you are very helpful.

That would be awesome if the BBQ came on for Rock Band. I'd also like to see the GH2 contest winner (The Last Vegas) be in Rock Band. Besides Push Push Lady Lighting, Raw Dog was my favorite bonus song and one of my favorites outta the whole setlist.

I didn't realize The Last Vegas won a contest to get into GH2. I'm gonna load up the song and check it out, I haven't spent much time with most of the bonus songs in gh2. Thanks for the info!
