Im going to buy a 250 gb hd for my ps3 soon. I know i cant copy the game save file because of copyright, but i was curious if you do an entire back up of the harddrive if it will save it when i restore it all on the new one. The reason i ask is it says "there will be some limitations on copyrighted data" or something of that sort.

Any input would be appreciated.

Yes, it will work as long as you are restoring to the same PS3. For the purpose of HDD upgrades, this works fine. If you have to RMA your PS3 and get a new one, it won't.
