Just learning to play Creep - Radiohead on my guitar, fairly simple, its tuned etc. how do i get that sound on my Squier Strat. I can't get it to sound the same - its the right notes, but not the right effects (e.g., tone, what to do on amp etc.)

Well, you probably don't have the needed effects on your amp.. Sounds like a good bit of reverb, played with no distortion of course. Do you have a Fat Strat or just the regular strat?

Regular. I was tempted by the fat, but i wanted the traditional strat sound for when I get good, Hendrix and the like. I know Radiohead is tele territory though.

I got the Fender Frontman 15G (I ended up with the Squier Affinity Strat Special Pack, cos there was a significant sound difference between your standard affinity and your special I found...)

I started with a Squier Start playing pack, or something.. It wasnt affinity. But we have the same amp.. And I'm not sure your going to get the sound you want with what your working with.

K thx anyway. I know you can make a tele sound out of a strat tho... for future reference which pickup selection is it, is it the bottom one, it sounds twangy to my untrained ears...
