I thought this would be a sick game and was about to pre order then I started watching a bunch of demo vides like IGN and noticed that when you sing its just a voice over of the orginal singers lyrics and sounds like complete CRAP! is there going to be a way to disable the original vocals??

You new commers really need to read/search before posting. Yes, you will be able to turn the person singing all the way down so you don't hear them but they're still playing. Also vice versa like you said, you can turn the original singing down and you will only hear the person singing.

How will you be able to accomplish this? I've checked all about my head, neck and upper torso and cannot find an output volume adjustment.

If you're actually looking for an answer, he means coming out of the speakers. If you kept the volume at normal, you'll hear the original artist and the Rock Band singer both come out of the speakers, but if you go into the sound options, you can turn down either the original artist or the Rock Band singer, or both if you feel like it.

You may in fact be able to turn down the virtual performer through your speakers, but remember, he/she will be standing right next to you and you will most certainly hear them sing...

Thats why you have to "turn it up to 11" this way it drowns out your awful singing voice, if you so choose to. Which is what I feel I will probably be doing.

Look: your problem is obviously that you don't have a completely badass rocker voice. However, I do. So the remedy for your affliction is to rock with me.
I thought I heard that you will be able to listen in to groups playing. That would be really cool too. Then everyone will have the opportunity to behold our great power of Rock.

And... That's what I already told him :p Just went into more detail, and redebo I meant turning the person down so you can't hear them by not being able to hear them through the speakers.

About that "listen in" thing, too bad YOU CAN'T HEAR THE SINGERS VOICE ONLINE. And again to answer the question, yes you can adjust both the original singers voice and yours (coming out of the speakers) from all the way up to muted.

Thanks for your reply and everyone else's. I noticed today that the ignorant sluts at IGN went vocal off today so that helped me as well.

The thing I am wondering about is can you turn the vocals down/off when no one is singing?
Thus singleplayer but without the annoying Sabotage Lyrics for example???? :)
