Ok, so like. I'm gonna try to keep this short.

Played a bunch of songs, but mainly did vocals because no one else did. You know what? I f***ing loved it. Seriously. It's a lot more fun than I thought.

Guitar - A LOT lighter, thinner too, didn't really notice that it was bigger but I guess it just felt more natural so I didn't notice. It did FEEL very hollow and empty but after I started playing it ceased to matter. Took a little getting used to and the timing of ho/po was different but I honestly can't say much because I was only able to play guitar ONCE.

Drums - OK the drums freaking rule. They feel great, the pedal is perfect, and apparently the retail version is going to be quieter and better as well. All around fun, did a couple normal and a couple hard, got 90% on hard for the hives song, but black hole sun on hard kicked the crap out of me, but that might have been because it was really hard to see the screen on stage and the fact that the set kept moving around on me.. it a was slippery floor.. I'm not sure if they are going to have an anti-slip grip thing on the final product which would be cool - but I'm using carpet (for now, anyway) at home so it's a non issue for me. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Vocals - awesome, but wow I must suck at singing, on medium and easy on two songs I had a freaking 50%! yet on two other songs I had 80-90+ .. then again, I did not know the two songs I pretty much failed on. once again WAY awesome.

I played on stage twice, the videos should be up soon. Black Hole Sun and Detroit rock city.

I also chatted with John from Harmonix for about an hour - he was an awesome guy and it
was great to talk with him about stuff, the company, and the game

oh - and apparently there's an announcement tonight in about an hour on Gamespot? You guys might wanna check it out ;)

I was gonna go sat or sun but both days i'm busy apparently, so I'm deciding whether or not I wanna go tomorrow.. I probably will, but I'll leave much earlier this time to avoid traffic and stuff. It's like 10$ in tolls! XD

How much lighter would you fathom the guitar is over an Xplorer or SG? I am considering a "weight kit" of sorts if the controller is unreasonably light.

from the limited time I had I would say it's probably 70-75% of the weight. This is just off memory though and could be because of the different weight distribution because it's spread over a bigger amount of space. I just remember noticing how light it was as soon as I picked it up

nice thought, but i think youre looking into it too deeply. it's just basically saying no mention of a wii version of rockband any time soon, so on that format gh3 is unchallenged.

I really want to comment more on this but I'm going to refrain until tomorrow - I plan on going earlier so I'll have more chances to play and I plan on playing guitar extensively so I can give better impressions. I'll also be bringing my camera =)
