Official "Goo Goo Dolls" DLC Thread

The Goo Goo Dolls are a rock band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, New York by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac. They would be a perfect addition to rock band, and i havent seen them asked much. Which gives me the opportunity to do so. Their biggest hit was "Iris" which stayed at the top of Billboard Hot 100 Airplay for 18 weeks. The song was note to have been written in less then four minutes, for the soundtrack of the movie "City of Angels"

Iris is definitely in my top three most favorite songs ever made. Plenty of nostalgia. I went years without knowing the name of it, even the band that sang it.

But let's not forget their newer stuff. I, for one, liked "Let Love In"

I just made an account so I could have my say in this. The Goo Goo Dolls are hands down one of my favorite bands of all time, and I would absolutely love to see them as DLC for Rock Band. I'd also like to mention the Iris wouldn't be too great for Rock Band because of the way the guitar in it is played. It's mainly a bunch of slow strumming. It's a great song and all, but it just wouldn't be suited for the one-string, five-fretted guitar.

Anyway, I would love to see some stuff from A Boy Named Goo. Possibly Impersonality, Flat Top, Naked, Name, or Burnin' Up.

Agreed, this is how it always works for us, which usually means I end up singing cause not a lot of people know the words to many of the songs. Some Goos would really help that. Really hope they get to this soon!

Seriously bewildering how there is no Goo in RB as is. They blew up in the 90's, and they constantly top charts to this day. They have a new highly anticipated album hitting soon too.

You can't get away from them, their music is used in tons of movies, shows, commercials. I'm sure the number of people that got married to, had their first dance with, etc with Iris is probably insane. It's one of the biggest ballads ever. And you can't miss their unique tone. They're insane live.

If any band deserves a 10 song pack, hell, Rock Band : The Goo Goo Dolls, it's these guys. I'm sick of the same-ol same-ol's, with normal and then live versions. Come on.
