If there's someone else using overdrive, you'll gain the "anti-fail" benefits as well. It took me a while to realize why I sucked at certain songs by myself as opposed to with people, turned out I always sucked and my bandmates were helping me. :p

This is the only song I have yet to beat on the hard level (well... that and The Perfect Drug, but that doesn't count since it's DLC). Failing out on 4 of the 5 last tier songs on the hard level often made me hit the expert tour and I'm on the fifth tier now. Maybe I'll come back to RTTH soon to see how I've improved.

I was playing drums online today and hooked up with this one random guitarist (just the two of us, and then he hit Continue). He picked Say It Ain't So and played guitar on Hard, and I played on Expert and FC'd it.

So then he decides he's gonna try to challenge me, and picks RTTH, saying that he was sure I would fail out. "Oh, 100%, you think you're so good? Try this one, I bet you can't even finish it!" I believe was the direct quote.

He picked guitar on Hard again, and I again played on Expert. I got 97%. He got like 74%. He started muttering and then kicked me. No idea why he kicked me out for kicking that song's ass, but I just wanted to say, Suck it, whatever your name was! :p

See, that's the thing, we weren't competing. We were in Band Quickplay, he was on guitar, I was on drums. It's supposed to be cooperative...he should've been HAPPY that I was doing well, but instead he got pissy. :rolleyes:

this song f--ks me up, I seriously don't understand how I passed Don't Fear The Reaper. I guess I was lucky.

When the drumming starts to go REALLY fast, that's where I usually fail. I guess I need to save my overdrive until then!

After reading this thread last night, I fired up the 360 hoping to get out of this club... well, on the hard level at least..... after about 7 or 8 tries, I made it to 64% before giving up for the day. At least 64% was an improvement. It used to be that I immediately failed out on the quick rolls after the opening, but I've managed to hang around by making sure I hit the overdrive notes.

I totally commend all of you that can actually get through that song! I am still learning drums (getting better on Medium difficulty) and when this song came up on BWT I almost killed my arm getting through it. I got an 89%. Kudos to all of you that can get through it.

I will let you get back to what you were discussing before I intruded!:p
