Impressions from the latest Guitar Hero track pack

Well, after a week delay, the new Indie Band Track Pack was finally released into our impatient hands!

Right off the bat I can tell you that the song "Bury the Hatchet" is by far the best of them (my opinion of course :D )! There's a bunch of crazy HO-POs and it's a lot of fun. It's also the hardest of them all.

The Trivium song is pretty cool I guess. Kind of reminded me of Six only way easier. Not to say that it's an easy song though. Pretty cool.

The Atreyu song released in this track pack is "Exes and OHs" I think it was originally supposed to be something else but this is the one that was put in the game. This is the easiest song of the three. Reminded me of one of the MCR downloads.

All in all, definitely whet the appetite! I really love "bury the hatchet" It's a blast. So what did anyone else think?

One of them has loads of ho-po sequences (Bury the Hatchet I think) which are just crazy fun.

Ex's and Oh's is by far the weakest of the three but is pretty decent.

If these songs were in a regular setlist, they would probably rate tier 6 or 7 for difficulty.


All in all I would rate these tracks pretty highly. Gives people a reason to be interested in DLC besides Bark at the Moon and/or Frankenstein.

Why did they use Ex's and Oh's?! They should have used the one they were originally going to have. Oh well, still a good song.

never heard this bury the hatchet song, but trivium and atrey suck so not buying this. and how are trivium indie if they're on the one of the biggest record label around??

yeah, right side of the bed was originally supposed to be the atreyu song. but it doesn't matter, bury the hatchet was more than worth the 500 points. the trivium song is alright i guess. never heard it before but its pretty challenging.

P.S. protest the hero is touring with all that remains right now, so if you have the time, go see them. they are awesome live. i saw them last week in pittsburgh.

this protest the hero madness is so awesome. i really am glad ib ought this pack. it makes it all wroth it. but god atreyu's song is incredibly boring.

and btw, check out bury the hatchet's bassline. its probably the most fun bass song in gh2 next to yyz.

Sorry, just finished playing Heart Shaped Box on my real guitar and gearing up for the RB drums, so remind me, whats Guitar Hero again :p
