"Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 bundles will include the game, a wired drum kit, and a microphone. The 360 bundle will also come with a wired Fender Stratocaster guitar controller and USB hub, whereas the PS3 bundle will come with a wireless version of the Stratocaster controller and no USB hub. The PS3 edition's instruments can also be used with the PS2 edition of the game. "

Interesting. Perhaps this explains the imfamous "dongle" that apppeared on the FCC site. If the PS3 and PS2 both use the same guitar, the dongle could just be a blue-tooth reciever for use on PS2, while the guitar would connect to the PS3 without it. hmmmm..........

It might mean you can play the PS2 version on your PS3 with the PS3 guitar.

If we can use the Strat to play GH1, 2 and 80's that will be so awesome. If we cant then it will suck so very very much...

I don't own a playstation of any kind, but it is nice to see that they are trying to build in some compatibility like that. It's bad enough to see certain guitars not compatible between the two systems... imagine a whole band's worth of instruments.
