It cracks me up everytime someone says anyone who plays a real instrument would hate guitar hero. I'm a musician as I'm sure alot of you are! They say why would you pay 80$ or whatever for a plastic guitar when you could buy a starter kit of the real thing for cheap..anyway....this makes me laugh and gets me annoyed at the same time, but it's a good read. Too much to rant about...

I refuse to ever get a facebook account (or myspace) but can I assume most of the people complaining have never even played the game?

I made this group because i always hear how Guitar Hero is so great but it sucks! Its not ****ing guitar its just pressing down 6 buttons when it tells you to. Worst than that any one who plays this *** game always acts like they know guitars and say "do you play guitar" but mean guitar hero. T-T

Yeah obviously that kid has never played it. And most of the guitar players (such as my dad and friend) that play it, don't keep an open mind about it and all that's going through their head is "This is so stupid, why the hell am i playing a plastic toy". I had the same feelings at first, I was like "**** guitar hero man, I play real guitar. what's the point of playing a little plastic thing?" Then I started to hear more about it, how "fun" it actually was. I got off work and bought it, and I kept an open mind and I f'n love the game.

I just don't get why people can't let it rest that they're two different things, I mean that's like me playing Counter-Strike and someone walks up to me. "Why don't you go grab a real gun and try defusing a bomb for the military you ******", Or it could be me saying to my girlfriend, "Why don't you stop playing Cooking Mama and go cook me some real food b****." Just doesn't make any sense to me =\ It's a fun game, tons of people enjoy it. And as for the ones that think they're ****ing awesome because they can play real guitar over guitar hero, get a life. I mean really, even Slash plays the GH series (I think he does anyway)

On the subject of GH haters:

I went to a party a few weeks (months?) ago and GHII was running on the 360. This ******* goes on and on about how it takes no skill. So I challenge him to a comparison of scores in Sweet Child O' Mine on Expert. Mind you he can play Medium. Needless to say I crushed him. He pulls the "Learn to play guitar and get a life" card. My friend has a practice space next to the TV. I said I can play and he said "You just say that". So I walked over and played the intro. Good party. :p
