Hey Guys its great that Rock Band is being released on the 23 nov in the US but don't forget us guys here in Blighty. I mean from all the talk it looks like we're going to have to wait till next year. I don't know if i can last that long. Every day i search for new features on tinternet relating to the UK launch but still nothing. If anyone else feels the same or needs support in these hard times don't hesitate in messaging me asap. We can get through this together brothers and sisters.

Hmmm... where do you have that piece of info from? As far as I know the US release date is the 28th, and the European version hasn't been given a date yet.

http://ps3.ign.com/index/release.html?constraint.eq.game.locale=uk

and www.play.com have it listed for the 26th too. But yeah they might not be right as amazon has yet to list a date.

HMX themselves have said 2008. This is just play raking in the preorders.

It will be 08. Not January - sale time is when they'll be wanted the RRP knocked off a fair bit, so feb/march to conflict with my b/day would be good.

We were talking about the OTHER game, the one made by Red Methane.

I know what you all mean I to check site upon site every day to find any info on a UK rd but all I find is more info on the game making me want it more. I have been trying to see if a US copy of the game would work on my 360 as other US games have so far (GOW, GH2, H3, COD3) but have had no joy. It has just pissed me off that we all have to wait till 08 b4 we even get it why not b4 xmas  then you factor in that we may not all get the same DLC as the US but instead we get ****ty EU bands that dnt even sing in english I mean WTF. Makes me wish I was an american (oh now I feel dirty :D ).

Oh well m8 lets hope the US version is compatable, however look at this way d/l speeds are getting better all the time in the UK. At the moment their is a bill going through in parliament for higher speed d/loads. This will be rolled out next year and all telephone exchanges should be upgraded by 2009. Also on the subject of the release date, when we receive it, all the glitches will have been sorted and the online options polished. I know its a long time to wait but if we stay strong with our stiff upper lips we van get through this (God i feel like Winston Churchill) and lets have no more of this i want to be american. I mean why would anyone want to weigh 200lb and stuff themselves full of junk food. Its not as if they even have a great sense of humour lol.:) :)

So have toothbrushes been allowed in the UK yet? Us Americans will be sitting our 200lb asses in front of the TV playing this game while you limeys are breeding gingevitis and sipping tea.:D

Yeah what the hell do they know about comedy or irony. *cough* Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, Chappelle's Show, The Simpsons, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Undeclared, Strangers with Candy, South Park, SNL and that's just a few TV shows. *cough*

Well, the Americans get comedy, but not without spelling it out. If you watched the likes of Mock the Week and Have I Got News For You you would be appaled - you think Daily Show is near the knuckle at times, believe me, we did not have Jon Stewart crying over 9/11 over here, we were too busy telling funny jokes about it. And the British way is, if something horrible happens, you make a joke about it and move on. And we do that brilliantly.

So alot of Americans say Brittish humor is very dry...do Brits say Americans humor is fairly wet?

Lol, Mock the Week? Yeah Russell Howard is a master of irony and subtle word play, oh wait no, he's an unfunny tool only beaten in the unfunny stakes by Andy Parsons, who is also on the show. The only two good people on that show are Dara O'Brian (who's Irish, yay!) and Frankie Boyle, and by the way I never said British comedy was crap, and Arrested Development and Curb Your Enthusiasm don't spell it out you plonk, that's why I put them first, some of the finest comedy ever. Maybe the fact that The Daily Show is filmed in New York and Jon Stewart could see the World Trade Center from his apartment meant that he had a little trouble finding the 'funny' in it all four days after the event you complete and utter spanner.

Oh I'm not American either you knob jockey.

LOL although some of that was supposed to be offensive, sorry I can't take that way, calling me "spanner" made me laugh.

Fair point. Frankie Boyle is hilarious, lemme just quote him: "you know holding a rock concert for Princess Diana isn't really showing her work. It would be better to have a gang bang in a minefield".

I like Russell Howard, but for defo Andy Parsons. His regular jokes are using the words "britain", "british" and "queues". Laughter. Yawn.

I will admit, Curb Your Enthusiasm as well my personal fav, Family Guy, are fantastic and not in the American style. The jokes are still funny, but are in completely different styles.

Chrz anyway for your insight "knob jockey", hee hee, soz couldn't take your arguement seriously.
