Good article, a few points that stood out for me
All in all, the thing is a joy to play - which is just as well, as there's twice as much content in this game as there was in Guitar Hero 2.
Not every song in the game has a co-op option - about forty of them do, and it's the best forty, chosen for their suitability as two-player pursuits.
And my favorite, All the characters look a wee bit different now, but good to see that Judy's still slutty.

Yes, you heard it, GH3 is awesome because Judy is still slutty! Lol.

Good article, thanks for the link. Not sure how I feel about the co-op thing...I guess it's just a matter of Guitar Hero not really being for people who like to simply jam together anymore...it seems like it's all about refining and displaying technical prowess. I just wanna have fun and play. But, at least it does sound as if it's still fun...just focuses more heavily on competition and scores than just rocking out together. Still looking forward to it.

Yeah, I feel it's a very weird direction to take. Here you have Harmonix that is making the best experience possible as far as Co-Op goes and multiplayer, and Activision is making crazy charts and lefty power-ups.
This is why I'm more excited for a game that's going to be FUN to play, and not as much for a game that won't have the same co-op experiences.
I just have this feeling that GH3 will just be a filler until Rock Band...Which is too bad.

Its just more PLAYFUL GH3. Rock Band has this serious edge to it, but with the ridiculously easy charts. I stand by that Rock Band is the jack of all trades, but the master of none. So its GH3 to fill my guitar needs and awesome drums for RB

I think Rock Band will be the master of drums. But yea definetly right, if you want a challenge at guitar get gh3.
Sucks not all songs are co-op, that's pretty lame.

While as a consumer I would prefer that RB has more of GH's technical wankery (as well as everything they already have heh).. in the end it's probably a good thing that both brands are taking such different directions, so they're less in direct competition with each other.
Of course, that probably won't stop Activision and Red Octane from acting as if this is the Cold War, but hey :)
