Does anyone have a reccomendation for a good quality (not outragiously priced) acoustic guitar to learn on? My wife has always wanted to learn, so I want to surprise her for xmas.

My price range has to be under $200, but for a beginner guitar, I imagine there has to be one or 2 that are decent...right?

The above one is nice.

If you're willing to go up to that $200 mark this: http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_fender_gc12_grand_concert_acoustic_guitar?full _sku=510562%2e010 is a fine guitar. I've seen one be played (well I'm not sure its the exact same model all I knew was it was called a fender grand concert) and it sounded fine.

I suppose its what ya want it for. Do you want it to be loud? Acoustic electric? etc.

Also, they gave a few nice packs available for that price. This one is right at the bar.

But if you dont really want to spend a full 200 on the guitar/pack then there are somemore like this.http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_epiphone_pr150_acoustic_player_pack?full_sku=1 02920766
That should leave you with some money to use on other things she could need.

I play tested a few Ibanez acoustic/electrica once and found most pretty playable.. They were just a tad too bright sounding for my taste but solid guitars nonetheless. Plus they usually have slim necks.

A Rogue are amazing starter guitars. And with the extra cash left over, buy her a nice dinner!
