View Full Version : The Downloadable Rock Band Icons Suck!

I was expecting anything more than just those four generic icons we've seen a hundred times. Seriously, that's all we get for that download? 100 points, for what?

For those unaware, they are the mic/guitar/drum icons, in white/black or black/red. Not even the "Rock Band" logo?

This is a heads up for all those just itching to get some Rock Band content. I wish they would have shown the icons on the banner.

how many dollars are 100-150 points worth out of curiosity. I own a PS3 and don't know the exchange rate of points to dollars.

Right, but it's not even the image of the instruments. It's just the hand-drawn logo we've seen. If an image of the Stratocaster or the drum set were available, it might be worth a bit more.

Or how about the images of the characters in the top-right corner playing the instruments?

It's the instrument icons. Take a look at my gamertag (Gamer Profile Link - http://live.xbox.com/member/Bakkster), and you'll see. It's either black on white, white on black, or red.

RTFM. It was exactly as described.

The top right corner consist of real people.

Anyway they do suck but for a buck is it THAT bad?

I personally wanted some snakes and skulls.

They do. You have to go online to see them. Charging for this crap, regardless of the game only happens because people like the OP are willing to buy them. Otherwise they'd be free when you bought the game...as it should be. I love that Sony is making all their themes free now. I hope that doesn't change.

Actually, there isn't a picture preview for the Rock Band gamer pics online yet. If there had been, I would have posted at least a link to that rather than the ticker's text.
