Achievements for rock band EU

Do you guys think it will be like on Army of Two
so the EU version counts basically as a different game?

Just curious because me and my hubby played the NTSC version
a lot already and wanna find out if there´s a reason to play the EU
version too :)

It's normally due to censorship. Dismemberment is removed from German releases - so therefore they get their own version. Conan, for example, had an achievement that revolved around dismemberment - so some achievements were obviously modified for the German release.

This is probably true for Army of Two also. Some kind of censorship was required somewhere, so now there are a few regional variations.

I can't see Rock Band being affected by this.

Army of Two was the same game in the UK as in the US but it was called Army of Two EU
as EA did this because of the servers. Which means people from the US
can´t play with people from europe...

Why buy a 60 dollar game again when you can download the 9 new songs for like, 10?

True. We´ll see.
If it´s like on army of two and europeans can´t play with people
from the US we´ll buy the EU version too so we can play
with friends from the US and from here.

Being that Rock Band is a game that can be played around the workd online, I think the EU version will allow you to play with those of us here in the states:) I am looking forward to playing with all my EU friends and making new ones

While we're kind of on the topic. Anyone hazard a guess about DLC compatibility between versions i.e. will my US DLC show up on the UK release as playable songs...?

I hope so.
We got tons of DLC for the US version and it better be compatible...
But I guess we won´t know until we can actually try it, unless someone´s got a copy
already and can tell us?

yes. read the euro release thread in Greatest Hits and youll see some blokes who have it, and tried a few US tracks

Its the same achievements on both US and EU versions.
