I attended the Rock Band Tour up in DeKalb Illinois (they called it Chicago) and sat down with John Drake of Harmonix to talk about Rock Band. Hopefully this will answer at least a couple of questions for some people.

Cool. Custom songs would be sweet. I'm not sure this game would go with the PC vey good as most people have a small screen..mayb for a little solo practice ?

Just to answer your question, for online mode you can only play people on the same console so 360 vs. or with360 and PS3 vs. or with PS3.

Cool interview, its pretty sweet that you got to sit down with him and just talk about Rock Band.

A few questions and answers:

Q: When did you decide to do RB, with all the instruments together?

A: HMX is a company of people who love music, he and A-Rig are drummers, it felt like a natural thing to expand the game.

Q: A lot of people are asking about custom tracks, and making their own tracks, are there plans to put that option in the game?

A: A-Rig talked about it, and seemed pretty excited about it. They've been focused on just getting the game done in time for the holidays, but its something they may look into down the road, his exact words: "it's something we're still trying to explore".

Q: GH3 is on PC, what about RB?

A: RB is harder, because if you are playing on a small screen, its hard to cram all the people together to try to play, in a tight space. So probably not happening.

Q: Can PS3 and 360 people play together online?

A: He said he thinks you can't, but he's not sure.

If you'd like one of my cliff noted answers expanded or transcripted, let me know.

Thanks...if those are the only points really covered in the interview, then that's fine...appreciate it.

Tried to watch it, but trying to listen to you guys over the background music was giving me a headache.

Sorry, it was the best place we could find without walking a long way, and I wasn't going to make him do that :(
