This community is known to attract the most avid RB fans...or even the biggest haters....

BUT we do all tend to agree on one thing, the lack of DLC found by the people out in the real world (not in our kicka$$ RB bubble)

SO, Hows about HMX put up a bulletin in the next patch that shows up on the title screen or on the message when you scroll over the community button in the game that tells everyone that plays that:

"Special Announcement!: This is a message from the gods over in the RB forums. They say it is time for you all to go download at least three or four songs so none of them have to play Dani Claifornia, Enter Sandman, or Welcome Home for a very LONG LONG time. Thank you.

Who knows we get more people to get DLC and more people join our wonderful forum.....or they could add to the thousands of trolls...hmmmm.

Or some kind of match system that let you see how much DLC overlap there is between you and somebody else, and elect to play with them.

I agree 100% and I know there was a thread made a while ago about someone who make an xbox gamertag and people with dlc who played expert added him as a friend and then you could pick through friend of friends to play. Im wondering if that tag is still around.

It is, and Im all for the whole filtering DLC system for quickplay, but how sweet would it be if HMX gave us a shot put like this one

I'm sure it is, although XBox Live accounts can only have a limited number of friends I think (I dunno, I'm on PS3), but there were several lists. If those are full, you could always make another one!

if it's not any of that it's always freaking dani california, i hate it! hell i went to freaking best buy when we were going to see ironman so we played the set up for rock band and this stupid snobby hispanic girl *no racial pun intended* talked all snobby like she thinks she's better than me and my friend because she wanted to play dani california on medium drums, while me and my friend were both playing everything on expert, he was even playing expert drums, and yet she was acting all snobby like she's better than us? lmao wtf? but yea then when we get back to my friends apartment, we play online with this guy on drums who was the band leader, first thing he goes for is dani california on medium! we quit the band and end up with another guy on drums and he goes for dani california on medium! what is with people playing medium drums always wanting to play dani california?!?! seriously?!?!? ugh i hope none of them are all snobby thinking they're better than everyone else because they play dani california on medium drums -_- my friend played dani california on expert drums infront of that snobby girl and yet she scoffs and says "he's not that good! i can beat that song easy on medium!" uhhhh what? lmao

It'd be nice if the match making system just grouped people into brackets based of the number of DLC they have. Keep low DLC people with low, medium with medium, etc. Obviously, the more DLC you have the more variety you crave, and therefore and optimal match with be with other players that have similar amounts of DLC.

You shouldn't even have to choose "Search by no DLC" or "DLC only"... this stuff should just be automated.

Well maybe they should revamp the online play and put lobbies or rooms for people with dlc and people with no dlc. I think how we get matched up to play in a room is very welfareish.
Hey what ever happend to all thoughs online features like the RB pages and Band photos?

I just created a new guitarist who's name is DLC Please, I'm going to have to make a new drummer too with the same name.

I would always play at least 1 song with anybody just out of courtesy, and if I was the leader I would always scroll quickly back and forth over the transparent DLC to say in virtual language, what? you don't have this? any of this?

I've just played the included setlist to death and I've got tons of great DLC that I've hardly played at all. I've started to now scroll through and if you don't have any DLC I'll exit, I figure since my name is now DLC Please, you know it's not personal, although I bet most don't know what DLC means anyway. They think it's an old rap group, Run DLC.

Some "normal people" need to even connect their consoles to the internet in the first place. I've got a friend who plays Rock Band who doesn't have DLC because he doesn't have his 360 connected to the internet right now. It's annoying when I go over to play with him.

Hello everybody, my gamertag is twoshotsnipe (I play halo), but I have all the DLC expert for 2 of the Thrash pack songs, I have Evile - Thrasher. But add me if ya want. But I read somebody say that they played Welcome Home five times in a row. I second that, I was hammered one night had a bunch of friends over and they all wanted me to sing. So, I jumped on XBL and told them the first song was guarenteed to be Welcome Home....sure as it was. So, I joined somebody else, and same thing FIVE times in a row. Don't get me wrong, that is a good song, but DAMN!

btw: I'm expert on everything except singing

I had three guitarists in a row drop out last night because they didnt wanna play I Get By. *******s.

In all truthfulness though, when im drumming, and im playing with some n00bs, ill play Enter Sandman, because i can usually pull at least a 1700+ note streak with plenty-o-ease, and so they are all like "ZOMG! look at that streak!" and i feel cool. Other than that, those songs are dead to me.

I love people who have DLC though. My one problem though...is it seems like if im going to play ANY DLC with anyone, its going to be The Kill, Call Me, and Roxanne. It seems those are the only 3 songs people buy.

I wasn't quite sure how that worked. My bubble is still intact:D

What do people see when you're scrolling over big blocks of songs they don't have, do they get the sound of you scrolling?

They see the last song they have that you scrolled over whether its regular or DLC. Personally i think the game SHOULD show them what they are missing out on. Most people barely even realize there is DLC when i ask them why the f they dont have any.

this stupid snobby hispanic girl *no racial pun intended*

Then why even mention her race? You could have said Some Girl, A young Girl, This Girl or something else. But NO, you then try to cover up your bigotry by saying No Racial Pun intended.

You are obviously a bigot, and should keep your racial views to yourself. People like you are waht is wrong with this world.

even if you think what he said was wrong, it's over. this kind of post serves no purpose other than to start conflict as far as I can tell

I don't think I've ever seen this before...

Anyway, I agree that it is a problem. To be honest, when I have somebody on my friends list who has Rock Band and some similar DLC, I rarely play with them. I'm not what you call an "outgoing" person, so I usually don't invite people to play for fear of disturbing them. I also don't like to talk when I play so they come and want to talk between songs, but I'm just there to play... I prefer if people invite me. As such, I rarely play online with people who have DLC...

You tell him! Not only is he ranting but racism doesn't help his case.
