Rock Band for the WII

I've heard many stuff about it coming out for WII like;

1. Online coming out in sept. or Nov.

2. Can not make your own characters

3.an interveiw about it being online around the end of May.

I believe thats all do for now. any of you have answers?

2. No. Only on the 360\PS3.

Besides, would anyone REALLY want that? WFC is awful... it's no better than playing with bots.

As for create a character... Gamecubes can't handle such technology.

The Wii is the same basic system as the Gamecube except it has the Wii technology, therefore your statement is kinda like saying "The black African American".

I agree it would be "god" awful. Wii WiFi sucks.

While technically there is no create-a-character because the Wii is weaker than the other systems, it's also because each song has a pre-rendered video that plays instead of the real-time stuff the 360 and PS3 do. You can't put created-characters in videos. Harmonix decided to have damn-good graphics in the background instead of really bad (have you seen GH3?) graphics with create-a-character.

This is also why there's no DLC. You'd have to download the song we download now (30-40MB average) plus a song-length video, maybe even one for 4:3 and one for widescreen. Considering the WiFi sucks, downloading a 150-200MB file from it would be a nightmare.

The Wii isnt a _bad_ system but there are 1000 games I dont even begin to care for on the Wii and maybe 2 that are decent. The rest of it is crap. Stick to the big boys.

Saying the Wii is the same power as the GameCube is fairly innacurate. Both system share similar designs and hardware choices, but the Wii is a more powerful system. Not as much as the 360 is to the original Xbox, but there is a difference.

That said, I whole-heartedly believe that HMX, if they took the time to make alterations to the graphics and rendering engine, could've produced a game with graphics on the Wii "comparible" to the 360 or PS3. There's no reason Wii had to get stuck with a PS2 port. Yes, the Wii is weaker then a 360 or PS3, but it's sure has a hell of a lot more muscle then a PS2... Character customization and online play should've made the cut. DLC has enough decent excuses, but the system doesn't lack what it takes to support character creation and online play. Period.

You had me wondering what it would have looked like to see Patton, Eisenhower, and MacArthur rocking out to Tommy Dorsey and The Andrews Sisters.

Actually the Wii is almost exactly the same as the Gamecube save for a slightly (like a couple 100 mhz) more powerful processor. Compared to the next-gen's multiple 3ghz processors. But I own a Wii, and genuinely fun games do not get better than this. Smash Brothers, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, RE4, plus many more. Think of the classic NES/SNES/Genesis/N64 games that we go back and play today. We'll come back to these Wii games in 10 years as well.

I just wish people would just answer questions about the Wii version of Rock Band instead of going all "moron fanboi" and spouting crap that isn't true about the Wii itself.

Basically, the Wii version will be similar to the PS2 version in most respects. Don't expect anything different (except bonus songs on the disc), even if it is possible to get more in the future.

As for the Wii itself, you'll get just as accurate information from a bum on the street as most "people" here will give you, so don't even bother to become "informed" from the "information" they give you.

The wii probably couldn't handle much but like maybe atless some of character creator stuff be cool, the WII is an okay styem its fun more meant for like family and playing with friends, they have SOME good online games that let you actually see your friends online and stuff sad thing is.. you can't talk to them with your voice which is actually ***. So for a explain "Super Smash Bros Brawl" good game online all you do is add each other play and you have this taunts and you add this chat things.. i was kinda disappointed in the online thing, but than again people like to swear alot and be racist etc on microphone, so i can see why they don't got the voices online and such.

I was disappointed knowing i can't make a character, but atless it won't be like GH3 WII (which i didn't get on WII) and i heard you got like crap models of characters.
