Video From My Rock Band Party

Here’s video from our Rock Band Party that we held this past Saturday. I tried to get a live stream going but neither of my daughter’s laptops would work with our camera.

I had to break it into two parts to fit on youtube. (Please don't laugh too hard):D.

lol. There were only a couple of us there that could play on Expert.

Expert vocals was out of the question due to the stereo being so loud, the microphone wouldn't register correctly.

I don't see a lot of alcohol, but it still looked like a hell of a time.

That would be me. The lag with an entire band playing plus the tinny vocals were throwing most people off. I drug out my youngest daughter's guitar amp and a live mic as a quick solution.

My daughter and I have more experience with the game/songs.

I cut out the parts of the tape showing the rest of the party in the gameroom and backyard (where the keg was).:D

I didn't have a drop in case the police decided it was a little too loud for their liking.

BTW, were you the woman singing roxanne? you sang it better than me! my friends won't let me sing police anymore after i tried to sing roxanne in a horrible voice.:D (damn you Sting!)

Guilty as charged. I made the mistake of telling the guitar player that Roxanne was easy to play (well, it IS, but anyway) and she failed out before anyone could save the band.

Actually, she's a heck of a guitar player and drummer. She's cleared all 58 on her Expert Solo Tour and gold starred many songs on guitar. I think the only song she hasn't beaten is Thrasher. We've come to the conclusion that it's darned near impossible with the Strat's strummer.

False. I've passed Thrasher expert on the Strat. There's nothing wrong with the Strat strummer. I hate the clickety clack of the GH strummers. Plus the GH guitars are tiny and ugly as sin.

Congrats on passing it. It's not an easy song. She'll eventually get motivated enough to pass it.

I too can't stand the GH guitar. The neck is too fat, buttons too far apart, the strummer is louder than our drumset and it feels like a Fisher Price toy compared to the Strat. :p

I kept my vocals set to medium the whole time so i could sing with all the noise from the party and sound system. Even medium was tough on Timmy when the whole room "sang" along and the arrow started convulsing violently!

Looks like you all had a great time. Lately all my parties end up as Rock Band parties, which to date has yet to be a problem. 30+ people all standing around singing, jamming air guitar, and drinking is a wonderful thing to experience.
