* I meant country

More "popular" songs. I have tried to explain that this is rock band and that a lot of those songs don't really have bands to back up the singers, but they are insistent. Also, and I have to agree, there are a lot of country songs that would be great for this game ("Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts, stuff by Brooks and Dunn, Garth Brooks, "Devil Went Down to Georgia"). I think expanding the game to include other genre's of music (there isn't any county, any pop, any songs that the female can get into) will make this game that much more enjoyable and fun for everyone.

Just so you know, more female friendly songs means more females around means more guys meeting females. So, don't think this is a cop out or selling out of my rock roots. I am still rock, I just have a very eclectic and ranging taste in music. :D

What do you think?

100% agreed...I wish some people watched the AMC awards last night and noticed the FULL BANDS playing. And as Garth Brooks said last night, "This is why country music is the most popular and most growing genre in the US."

Oh yeah, and Garth Brooks had the album of the decade in the 90's, and he just surpassed The Beatles selling the 2nd most records ever, behind Elvis...so that says something.

All I'd want is Amos Moses from Jerry Reed. Oh and his theme from Smokey and the Bandit.

I'd like some Johnny Cash. KRAI got I Walk the Line so lisencing shouldn't be a problem.

No country pack would be complete without a song from Brad Paisley or Keith Urban. If you're going for popular and amazingly talented guitarists, those guys would should be at the top of your list.

Brad Paisley's just about the sickest guitarist I've ever heard, and Keith Urban is pretty much controlled chaos. I'd love to see something like Walkin' in the Country (Urban and The Ranch) or That's Love (Paisley). Awesome songs.

Good idea for a new platformer though. :)

I am not a big fan of country. I do like Miranda Lambert's "Kerosene".

I agree with those that want Southern Rock though.:)

REAL COUNTRY PLZ!

Thanks for the replies. I do think that country should eventually be pulled into the fold of the game. It would increase interest (and revenue) for EA and the game and expand the community that much more.

Also, southern rock (Lynard Skynard, CCR, Charles Daniels) would be a good stepping stone towards a country DLC. EVERYONE would want to rock out to the classics: Sweet Home Alabama, Bad Moon Rising, and, of course, Devil Went Down To Georgia. Don't tell me that you can listen to those songs and not want to rock out/sing along/beat a rhythm while it is playing. Country will be on Rock Band and it is going to come with a thunderous applause!!!

REAL COUNTRY PLZ!

I agree completely. "Alternative" country DLC makes a lot of sense. I definately would not mind songs from Wilco, Emmylou Harris, Rilo Kiley, and My Morning Jacket, among others.

And while we are on the subject of country, how about some folk rock, as well? If the right songs were picked by HMX, CSNY, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and even some Cat Stevens would be a blast in RB's format.

I think country would be a great addition too, the beauty of DLC is that if you dont like it dont buy it, I actually think it would be really successfull and Im from England where country isnt very popular or well known. Keith Urban has been mentioned as have Rascall flatts another Country star with great riffs is Dierks Bentley there are a couple of songs that spring to mind that would be rather tricky on guitar.

This game will explode with country songs.......Garth,Jason Aldin,Rascal Flats,Brad Paisley,Keith Urban omg it goes on and on.... they should just put out Country Band Game and load it down with new songs.

Ok, I see your point. BUT there are ALOT of country songs that have equal AND BETTER guitar solos, drum riffs and chorus lines. As Carp24000 said, and by the way is true. Garth Brooks has at LEAST 4 records topping 10 million in sales. Technically, Metal dosn't have the word ROCK in it, so are those songs not allowed in? Honestly if you compare the two, they are very similar. Also, just add insult to injury, Taylor Swift currently has an album out that has been on the charts for 70 weeks!

I might be Alone on this but I really think a trace Adkins pack would be great. His songs would be great for singers trying to get good and his bass and drum stuff is good. I want some badonkadonk!

"Turn it up some...We'll play it good and loud!"
Hell yeah, Gimme some Trace Adkins!

And yes...just because it doesnt have "rock" in the name, doesnt mean they shouldnt ignore this genre.
(By the way, country is about 20x more popular than metal)
