Finland has Teräsbetoni. I don't know enough about rock to tell you what sort of rock they are, but their name means "Steel Concrete" and they sing about being warriors and a lot of their songs literally have the word "metal" in them.
Here's a sampling:
1. Taivas Lyö Tulta (http://youtube.com/watch?v=B_0weiI6A-4) - and, just to make the case a little stronger, let's have the song played by a fan with a little plastic guitar (http://youtube.com/watch?v=eK0kKJTfxwc).
2. Voittamatton (http://youtube.com/watch?v=-Gv6RvJrRxo)
3. Sotureille (http://youtube.com/watch?v=qAE3QBk2wLs)
4. Orjatar (http://youtube.com/watch?v=r46ojJEG8IE)
5. Vaadimme Metallia (http://youtube.com/watch?v=M6ELhCZn9nM)
6. Missä Miehet Ratsastaa - live! (http://youtube.com/watch?v=coqzybde4Yg)
7. and, of course, Teräsbetoni (http://youtube.com/watch?v=k56E2X7d6Uw)
I cannot wait to play along to some of their greatest songs. And sing along. I may not speak the language yet, but I'm working on it - and having the lyrics scrolling by will certainly help!
