i just noticed that singsstar had elvis presley in it
does any one even know how much it costs to get the rights to an elvis presley song?
deffinitly alot more than led zep, the beatles, or ac/dc
i think the only one that might be around the same price is chuck berry
this is just supposed to show how far rock band can go if micro$oft or sony made an exclusive clone for their system or if they helped in paying for buying the rights to insanely expensive bands

^That is actually a brilliant idea. Micro$oft has deep enough pockets too.

KRAI has TWO Elvis songs for download so obviously it's not that expensive or hard to lisence.

Aren't they Elvis covers, though? I think the original Elvis master tapes would be unusable for a game like Rock Band since the drums (all seperate bits like the snare, bass drum, cymbals, etc), bass, guitars, and vocals would need to be on seperate tracks. It would certainly explain why we have seen only two DLC songs from the 60s (both of which were covers) and none from the 50s. I definently would not mind playing along to an Elvis cover, though, regardless of how different it was from the original.
