I can survive up to the guitar solo but when the guitar solo starts my foot cant handle the fast paced drum bass... i can either only play the drum bass or the snare during the solo, but i cant play both at the same time. Anyone have any tips for me ?
thanks a lot guys, and sorry for the spelling mistakes. :)

Have someone else hit your red pad for you...:P

I've seen this same thread a few times before but am replying because I feel for you. I was in the same situation a while back and couldn't pass RTTH on hard for the life of me. Nowadays I can consistently get through it, albeit with a somewhat crappy score.
Anyway, here is how I beat it...for me it all has to do with hitting as many red notes and bass pedal notes as possible, especially the bass pedal. Apparently the "crowd" cares more about you hitting those correctly. Concentrate on those and don't worry as much about the blues, yellows and greens (although you should obviously try to hit them when you know you have time to do so).
Try a run through with that mindset and see how you do. Hope that helps...if not, I'm sure others here will have good advice.
I guess if you can't play just the red and bass notes at the same time you're in trouble and I don't know how to help.

I remember how frustrated I was - but seriously, of all the advice I got, I actually had to mod my red drum pad - because of the speed of those rolls and because it only registered so few of those hits, no matter what else I did, I just couldn't make it through it.
Now, no problem (well, no problem is still a bit of a stretch, but lets just say it's very doable...). I just used electrical tape and put some tension with an X around the red pad...
Your problem may be different, but that's what helped me...
Good luck!

It took me 4 tries to beat and I just got it for the first time a few minutes ago, just hitting the red is enough to keep you from failing, throw in some yellows and maybe bass when you get comfortable with it, save your overdrive for the really hard bit and just hope for the best.
Or if you want to do it properly you could go to youtube and find a video where you can hear the clacking and get the rhythm down from that.
The red goes 3 2, 3 2, 3 2, over and over, so just practice that and you're golden.

you think hard is a challenge, just wait until expert. but anyways, just try and find a pace you can keep up with and practice it over and over and over until you pass it. when you do that you will be able to pass it with flying colors.

I always thought the yellow matters more for the crowd meter in this song, because red is the hi-hat and yellow is the snare (the opposite of most songs).

I DID IT :D I finished it at 68% with barely 3 star hahah, but i did it :o
Im so damn happy, i've beaten all the songs on hard and the achievement was my 10 000th achievement points. I will remember this day all my life :D

i think you are right, because the drum rolls after the guitar solo didnt made me lose as much crowd happiness as when i miss them in train kept a rollin'

use ur right hand to hit hte red notes (there are no other notes during this section, just skip the others completely until u get it down) and whiel doing this try to hit at least every other foot pedal, never add one or you lose double the crowd, so it's better to hit less here than more. with just hitting red notes and about 66% of foot pads and NO yellow/blue/green notes you WILL pass this section. keep in mind this is a video game and the point is to win, you may get no style points but you will win.

Congrats. RTTH is still the only song I have yet to beat on hard and it got me so ticked off that I've started an expert career. I finally got out of the "I can't beat Vasoline on expert drums" club tonight (or this morning... it's about 1:30 am right now) and have 15 songs to go to becoming an AN-I-MAL! RTTH will probably be the last one on expert to pass too.... whenever I get there.

Scratch my last post. After giving it about 5 tries today, I passed it. 76% and a 3-star. I must have tried this sucker over 20 times and never could get to the snare and bass solo, but once I did, it was smooth sailing.... well.... not quite, but it got me out of the red and enough to finish out the rest of the song. I don't think I've ever been so happy to see the big rock ending come up. Hell, I still had enough focus to hit the BRE notes to "pad" my score.
I'M A HEAVY HITTER! Now.... only 14 songs (I beat GWTF on the first try... no joke!) away from AN-I-MAL! :D
