A couple of dumb things I've tried when I didn't feel like working on gold stars or FCs...

- Passed "Say it Ain't So" playing both the lead and bass guitars at the same time. I was sitting with both guitars in my lap, the lead in front of the bass. I strummed the lead guitar with my right index finger and the bass with my right thumb, and contorted my left hand in various ways to fret both guitars. I was playing both on Easy, and there was much fail (I had to save myself twice, ended up at 76% lead/56% bass), but I think with a bit of effort I could probably bring those scores up. 'Course, in the "Say it Ain't So" easy charts there's a high correlation between lead and bass fingering... I tried on a couple other songs and died quickly.

- Played "I Think I'm Paranoid" on Expert drums with the video cable disconnected. Got 93% on my first try. 'Course, it's an easy song...

- Tried to see how low a percentage I could get and still pass. On Easy drums, you can basically ignore the yellow, blue, and green pads and hit every other bass / snare hit and survive. I passed with 25% on Wanted Dead or Alive with a 3 note streak... one star. :)

I've played with my feet on easy on the guitar to piss my buddy off. It was funny until he picked up a tennis ball, and gunned it at me. I passed the song, and I did have a higher percentage than him.

Here's something I found... if you put on Creep while thinking about the Wizard of Oz, Toto will jump out of your screen and bite you in the n*ts.

I didn't know if it was possible to get one star.

Wow, it'd be cool if someone could get no stars, and still pass. XD

They round up, unfortunately.

One star is probably doable only on Easy. I've gotten 2 stars on Hard before by using lots of Overdrive at certain parts to power through.

Though it isn't rock Band, I played Through the fire and the flames on GH3 on Expert with the side of my face. I.E. I was hitting the frets by rubbing the guitarr on my face as fast as possible, and strumming normally.

I was doing it on Pro Face off with a friend, and actually hit about 47% of the notes.

Coincidently, I think that's one of Neversoft's methods for creating note charts.

I had heard/read that you couldn't pass a song with fewer than 3 stars on Expert but during the Endless Setlist two of my buddies and myself managed only 2 stars on Run To The Hills and still passed.
