View Full Version : Plans for a USB hub in future PS3 bundles of Rock Band?

Since the new 40gb PS3 model was announced today for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, it's been revealed that it will only have two USB ports instead of four. Is this going to impact PS3 bundles of Rock Band by including a USB hub at some point - like what's already being done with the 360 version?

I thought wireless was implemented with a dongle. Doesn't that require a USB slot?

If it's blu-tooth wireless, then no. If it's any other kind of wireless then yes.

I don't get it. I was just pointing out that if you buy the new PS3 there won't be enough holes for you to stick your dongle in.

USB-hubs come at a staggering $10 pricepoint. After spending 170 bucks on a videogame, 10 bucks shouldn't be a pain.

Although that is true

I do follow his line of thinking.

If you buy a game for a system expecialy an expensive game you expect to be able to plug it right in and go not to have to get something else.

Since HMX is relasing it on the PS3 I guess his manner of thinking is that they should supply everything needed to plug it into the PS3.

After all the 360 did not have enough USB ports so they supply a hub in that bundle as far as I'm aware

If you are planning of getting a new 40gb Ps3 when you're at the store ask for a Usb Hub , there it wont cost you an arm or a leg its just $2-10 Dollars..
