can i upload a song on lets say sendspace or megaupload and post it here if i can't find it on youtube anywhere?? i don't want to have to make some faux slideshow just so that i can upload a song on youtube, and my youtube upload speeds are horrible too.

If you're talking about uploading full and licensed MP3 tracks for distribution, I would probably shy away from that.

That would technically fall into the same behavior as the old Napster, Limewire, BitTorrent, etc which have been deemed inappropriate unless you have the artists' consent.

Its sort of stupid. You Tube is basically the same thing and no one has a problem with it. Double standards FTW. I'd rather be safe than sorry about that sort of thing though.

no well i dont' want really want to distribute it since the song isn't on youtube and it'll be faster for me to just upload it to sendspace and the folks can d/l, but i see what you're trying to say. i guess i'll have to make the slideshow and up it to youtube then, thx applez.

This is the thing:

All you have to do once you post it is right click it and save it.

You can try www.imeem.com and just embed it (a la YouTube) but sometimes it may cut your song into a 30 second sample for liscensing purposes.
