Ok people, claws out, time to debate the worst possible song that could be added.
Just one rule, try not to base your judgement on pure personal taste, instead give a valid reason why it would be irritating/futile/just plain daft for the song to be added.
My vote goes to = White stripes - Seven Nation Army
Why? The pure monotomy on the song would drain the fun from the game.

One Note Song - Tenacious D
I'm pretty sure it's self-explanatory why that wouldn't work.

that stupid, horrible, awful song from Guitar Hero by Made In Mexico (Yes We Can I think, I nearly clawed my ears off and then stabbed them with hot soldering irons so I would never have to hear such nonsense again)

Anything by "Insane Clown Posse".
For a few reasons, one including a subtle lack of musical talent.
Actually, that's the only reason :V

I know what you mean. "Yes we can". That is the second worst song ever in GH2. I can not stand that song. "yes...... we...... can...... yes..." It drives me crazy. But my #1 least favorite song in GH2 is the one by Suicidal Tendencies. The singer is telling a story for crying out loud.

Amen to that brother.
I was so close to hot gluing hot glue guns into my ears. Then, I would decapitated myself with a handsaw, while having 1829937837867475904375 toasters dropped into my pool while I was in it.

yep, this song, toss-up as to worst with that stupid yes we can nonsense. It isn't even the words that drive me nuts (though it is just a really dumb song), it's the cadence of the notes even in medium that just really throw me off. I could probably learn to play it to 5 stars, but I hate it, so I let my gh nerd friend who can beat everything on expert do it lol.

I like Institutionalized.
On one hand, Scatman John would be like Dragonforce on crack for the singer, but it would suck for everyone else.

I'm starting to think I'm the only person on the planet that likes that song. It's the rhythm that makes it such a good song - or part of it, anyway - you have to really know what you're doing to write a song with such an awkward timing.

If people are going to diss Lynyrd Skynyrd, could they at least spell the band's name properly.
I think the worst song to include has got to be be 4'33" by John Cage - dig that silence.

I love that song, it's groovy. Apparently I'm the only one though. The only song I really hated on GH2 was Freya, not because it was a bad song, but I'm pretty sure I have carpal tunnel syndrome from that bit near the end that goes on for like 8 minutes of the same 3 chord riff with a minor variation in the middle.

Nothing against you, but I might just put a price on your head for saying that.
Megadeth is one of the great things that happened to music. With their blazing solos, their great drum and bass skills. Dave Mustaine has a great voice for the type of music. I'll be damned if I will hear you say that Megadeth would not be good for this game and not say anything about it. HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!
I'm just kidding with the price on your head, I'm not crazy.
I just love Megadeth.
Oh, IonLantern and KaiserKreb, you are the only two individuals that like Yes We Can.
Congratulations, you are now freaks.:) :D

Haha I've just never been a fan, at all, like I dunno, I just don't think they're that good. The guitar playing is awesome, but I think the vocals are horrid and everything else is bleh. I'm also not a fan of the song structure. I mean, I can see why people like them and alot of my friends like them, but I don't, nothing against em, just one of those that i really don't like.

First of all I like Institutionalized...its called punk rock
And the worst BAND ever is Gun's and ****ing Roses, they are the worst **** I have ever listened to. Axel is a homophobic, redneck dick. All he does is throw tantrums and whine all the time.

In regards to Institutionalized, god forbid a song tells a story. That has never worked before! I did used to absolutely loathe the song though, because I thought the vocals were annoying, but I like them now, so... I can see where you're coming from. And Yes We Can, while I don't personally like it, I see how someone could. For me though, the worst song in the past GH games is hmm... Surrender is just grating on my nerves, I really hate the singer in FTK (especially the intro, I don't care if it's a song about messing with people that are messing with you), but overall I would probably have to say Red Lottery. That song, to me, is like noise rock gone wrong. There are much better alternatives.
I'd have to agree with 4'33". There's a chance that it could have the same effect in game as it does in real life (realizing all the sounds of the world as its own sort of music) but I get the feeling people will play Rockband for the fun of it, not some type of bizarre meta-music. Thank God this is not post-modern-classical hero.

so much for no personal bias....
granted, the one i picked wouldnt be added anyways cause its a live recording, but Dazed and Confused from Led Zeppelins CD How the West Was Won. nothing against Zeppelin at all, i love the song, its just horrible for RB, and for a couple of reasons.
1. its 26 ****in minutes long
2. these guys just play around for most of it, especially Robert. the bassist and drummer could go off and get a beer or two and drink them down by the time thier needed again. the gap between when they are needed is right around 7 minutes or so.
3. its a live recording, which would probably make it difficult to key up for the various instruments.

Honestly, Yes We Can is no way near as bad as Red Lottery. Red Lottery sounds as if the amp was sawed in half, a horny teenager with one ball chopped off was squashed inside it, then it was sealed back up and stuffed with paper. Also, Institutionalised is a good song...guitarwise, not really fond of the lyrics
ANYWAY, on topic. Queen - We Will Rock You. hmmm...well the singer would have something to do atleast? seriously...they clap for most of the song, and the singer does the most. All the guitarist would do is the tiny bit at the end...plus it's a short song.

I like Red Lottery(it's not amazing, but as a fan of doom metal, I think it's kinda cool), but it's definitely a mistake to have in any sort of music game. It's droning, boring, and extremely simplistic. It was like playing an easy song on expert. So yea, I agree with people that say it shouldn't be in the game.

It's the rhythm that makes it such a good song - or part of it, anyway - you have to really know what you're doing to write a song with such an awkward timing.
I think you just have to be on drugs or already have a record contract and don't care how awful or stupid something is so you just record some guy banging on guitar strings with bad rhythm and the rest of the band banging a metal baseball bat into a metal garbage can while some other dude is screaming out his suburban rap lyrics

but overall I would probably have to say Red Lottery. That song, to me, is like noise rock gone wrong. There are much better alternatives. That's because it isn't noise rock. It's stoner/sludge metal, and it kicksass. It was kind of boring to play in GHII, though, due to it's slow pace. All in all, though, awesome song. Very Electric Wizard-y.

remember someone said that Seven Nation Army would be a bad pick. I'll go beyond that and say any of there songs would be a bad choice (for Rock Band in any case) because theres nothing for the Bassist to do.
