Just found a bit of info about the tutorial modes in RB. The lessons go a little something like this...

Vocal Lesson
Lesson 1: Singing Basics
Lesson 2: Talky Parts
Lesson 3: Screen Stuff
Lesson 4: Percussion Notes
Lesson 5: Overdrive

Basic Drums
Lesson 1: Sound Check
Lesson 2: One Hand
Lesson 3: Two Hands
Lesson 4: The Kick Drum
Lesson 5: Screen Stuff
Lesson 6: Big Rock Ending

Intermediate Drums
Lesson 1: Basic Beat
Lesson 2: The Hi-Hat
Lesson 3: The Snare
Lesson 4: The Kick
Lesson 5: Energy Phrases
Lesson 6: Overdrive

Basic Guitar
Lesson 1: The Guitar
Lesson 2: Making Noise
Lesson 3: Making Music
Lesson 4: Playing Songs
Lesson 5: Sustained Notes
Lesson 6: Power Chords
Lesson 7: Screen Stuff

Intermediate Guitar
Lesson 1: Consecutive Notes
Lesson 2: Energy
Lesson 3: Whammy Bar
Lesson 4: Overdrive
Lesson 5: Solo Indicator

This part also sounds pretty sweet...

Other tidbits include the ability to slow down songs to so players can get the notes just right and put songs on an infinite loop so they can just practice the song over and over until its perfect. No one ever said it was easy being a rock star.

Nice find. Tutorial sounds pretty sweet actually. I might have to learn it when I start testing out the drums.

Awesome find! I'll probably be spending some quality time with the drumming lessons. It'll be just like the 6th grade all over again.

Nice find...much more in depth looking than the measly 3 from GH, but i guess 3 was more than enough for that game...just shows how much bigger RB is in comparison...

Is it me, or does it seem like the bass is getting no love? I mean maybe they incorporate the bass in the guitar tutorial, but between that, no really amazing looking bass lines, and a rep saying they're staying away from bass solos, I thin, I might have to focus on drums rather than bass. I know it's been mentioned before, but it just hit me all of a sudden haha. Thanks

The guitar seems really drawn out just to match with drums. A whole lesson on whammy? There'd better be some unannounced gameplay features.

So star power is now overdrive. Cool.

Seems extremely in-depth. Too in-depth for the guitar in my opinion but awesome nevertheless.

Did someone knock the tutorial section for having something on the whammy bar?

You wouldn't believe the number of GH2 noobies I know who whammy every sustain thinking it increases your point score. Or they literally break the whammy bar thinking that faster whammying = more points.

For tutorial purposes, at least, bass and guitar are identical. The parts are different, but the play is exactly the same, with the sole difference being that the guitar multipliers tops out at x4 and the bass multiplier tops out at x6.

Thanks to that x6 multiplier, a reliable bass player will be a hot commodity on the online multiplayer market. I expect bassists and vocalists to be in highest demand generally, while at the top echelons it'll be hardest to find expert drummers (just because drums seem to have the highest difficulty in this game). Lead guitarists will be a dime a dozen, and will only be in demand if they can nail the toughest solos (e.g., Highway Star).

Wow, someone else feels my pain. I watch people play on my guitar, and on the guitars of others just CRANKING that whammy bar. They make it "click" at a million MPH on the side of the guitar, and sometimes they just hit it really hard.

My whammy bar got broken very early on, and I've had to take it apart and super glue it numerous times because of this.

It's always baffled me how some people bust their whammy bars. I've got 4 different guitars that I've rocked on at at one time or another, and they're all still in fully working condition. Perhaps I'm just not rocking hard enough

I go nuts with my whammy and it still works like new. I always thought it did matter how fast u whammy though, more whammying = more star power?

To a certain degree, yes it does. I believe that as long as you have consistent whammying it continues to increase your star power. You kind of have to play with it to figure out how fast you need to go.

whammying is all that matters. slow or fast doesn't matter as long as it's consistant movement. (blue hold notes = matters)
