Audio Playback (360/PS2/PS3 Related)

While this probably won't apply to PS2 (it should though!) on Xbox 360 Guitar Hero II supports Dolby Digital 5.1. this outputs player one on the left channel and player two on the right channel. Will Rock Band support 5.1 audio? Vocals coming out of the center channel, guitars on left and right and the drums bringing up the rear channels and bass frequencies?

I know 5.1 is a guarantee for 360 (it's required). And I would extremely surprised if the PS3 version didn't.

And that's about all we know.

PS3 can/should be 7.1 but doesn't mean it will.

I would say it's 5.1 minimum for both 360 and PS3 as for Ps2 they could use DTS which was used for GTA Vice city it wasn't full 5.1 I think the centre channel wasn't used but it was still really good sound, but I would guess HMX would stick with Stereo or Pro logic II.
