the idea of the avatars is cool....


will we be able to save them [as jpgs?], upload, download & trade them?

If I create an avatar and want to bring that over to a friend's, will it be easy...

If you're talking about your characters from RB, then I would think that you would definitely be able to save your profile (on either a hard drive or memory card) and load it onto your bud's 360 (or how every you would transfer saves on the other systems). The only think I can't quite think of is how you two could play together unless one of you read entirely off a card while the other read off a hard drive, then maybe both of you could play on the same system. Or maybe, you could copy the info from the memory card onto the hard drive, because that would definitely work, and then all the profiles are in one place. Hope that helps, unless I ended up making things more confusing (I tend to do that).

If you're talking about the in-game characters, I hope you can store them on a server somewhere, and download them whenever you log in with you PSN-ID/XBL-Gamertag.

yes, i was talking about the characters...Rockband refers to them as avatars:

I just thought that once you spend all the time creating one, it'd be cool if you could share
em, show em off...and of course, bring the ones you created over to a friend's place.

i just thought it'd be a novel idea if you could somehow save them as an image file [jpg, gif, etc] and post them. it'd be fun to see all the different characters [avatars] that people create

unclear? the fact that I referred to the characters as avatars in my first post? that's
exactly what this site refers to them as in the info section.

anyway, regarding my last comment/question....

It's just that's not really the best word you can use to describe them, used on the site or no. Characters works best, and besides Xzyliac was just kidding, can't believe you didn't see that.

There has been no mention of saving characters/avatars in any sort of file, but it might happen, you never know.
